I was in prayer this morning and felt led to go to Dr.Brown’s website and listened to the following discussion of Dr Brown and Bob Gladstone about the five-fold ministry.
I believe this brings understanding to a much misunderstood scripture (when it is studied within a traditional context). It is a step in the right direction. These are gifts to the gathering of believers and there may be multiples of these gifting within the assembly. I refer to this as a multiplicity of eldership, Many church leaders today are more interested in building a corporate entity under their leadership, than in being an example to the church by humbly submitting one to the other in the Spirit (elders , mature in their walk with Holy Spirit) under the Headship of Jesus. May we all grow into the fullness of His sacrificial love. I have great respect for both Dr. Brown and Bob. Thank you for your desire to know God in Spirit and in truth; and for being willing to lay down your self-life for the Lord’s purpose to be fulfilled.
