  1. Dr. Brown: I just heard a frightening statement on a godtube video:

“Who is Israel? Jesus Christ and all who are found in him.”

    http://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=FF012MNU (6:43ff)

This, of course, is a sly way of saying that the Church has replaced God’s chosen people, Israel. “Replacement theology” has proven a real danger to the Israeli people and their nation.

I was shocked that these words came from the mouth of Dr. Russell Moore, head of the ERLC of the Southern Baptists.

Dr. Brown, how would you answer Dr. Russell Moore?

There is a serious problem within the current Church with potentially dangerous leadership. Should Christians follow Dr. Russell Moore who is trying to promote himself as a human leader of the Church who will lead us to God’s goals for the Church? Let us observe a few facts.

Next, Dr. Moore has informed us that we have no right to accept and apply to ourselves 2 Chronicles 7:14, a deeply meaningful and commonly-quoted passage from the Old Testament which reads,

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Moore says, in another video, that these promises were made to God’s unique, covenant people—ancient Israel—and they should not be used by us as they do not apply to us today.

But the Apostle Paul made it clear that:

“ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…” (2 Tim. 3:16)

    “All” includes 2 Chronicles 7:14!

Indeed, we cannot rule out the possibility that the United States has been appointed by God to cause people to seek the Lord, as Acts 17:26-27 says.

    “Acts 17:26-27

[26] And hath made of one blood all NATIONS of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the TIMES BEFORE APPOINTED, and the BOUNDS OF THEIR HABITATION [27] THAT THEY SHOULD SEEK THE LORD, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:”

Furthermore, inspired apostles like Peter and Paul, in God’s inspired Word, recognized that Israel continued as God’s people even after Jesus died and was resurrected. Consider the following:

Following are examples of the word “ISRAEL” which are inspired of God and occur AFTER the death and resurrection of Jesus and after the formation of the Church. Notice that these instances of “Israel” refer to UNSAVED Jews/Israelites, NOT to those who are saved and are in Jesus Christ!

Acts.2:22 Ye men of ISRAEL, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
36 Therefore let all the house of ISRAEL know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Acts.3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of ISRAEL, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Acts.4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of ISRAEL,
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of ISRAEL that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of ISREAL, were gathered together,

Acts.5:21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of ISRAEL and sent to the prison to have them brought.

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to ISRAEL, and forgiveness of sins.

…and kings, and the children of ISRAEL:

Acts.13:16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of ISRAEL, and ye that fear God, give audience.

23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto ISRAEL a Saviour, Jesus:

Acts.28:20 For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of ISRAEL I am bound with this chain.

    Rom.9:4 Who are ISRAELITES; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

31 But ISRAEL, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

Rom.10:1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for ISRAEL is, that they might be saved.

Rom.11:7 What then? ISRAEL hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to ISRAEL, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

26 And so all ISRAEL shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

1Cor.10:18 Behold ISRAEL after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

2Cor.11:22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they ISRAELITES? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.

The Church should reject the “leadership” of Dr. Moore!
