  1. Your email suddenly arrived here in England, unsolicited, in my inbox and so I took the time to listen to this conversation. Thank you, and I applaud the work you are doing and rejoice with you in the fellowship you have discovered amongst Christians within Israel. I believe too that God does work through ‘politics’ and that that process is constrained in its outcomes by the exercise of our free will, albeit that the end is not in doubt. However, as an arabist who has lived and worked (for my govt and then commerce) in the Middle East I have huge issues with what you don’t say about US support of the terrible, expansionist policies of the Israeli govt that have served, together with US commercial interests in the region,to create ISIL and the persecution of Christians both inside and outside of Israel.(Facts noted by Orthodox Jews here!)Our exegesis of the Old Testament and the New must address these matters and not simply put them in a convenient box labelled ‘God’s will for Israel’. After all, the prophets distinguished between the heavenly and the earthly Zion, and 19th century Zionism has little if anything to do with the heavenly! I pray that the Lord will continue to bless all that is good and true in your ministry.
