Dr. Brown looks at the scriptural foundations for divine healing and tackles objections to healing, also asking why more people are not healed. He will also look at the larger issue of the gifts of the Spirit for today. Listen live here 2-4 pm EST, and call into the show at (866) 348 7884 with your questions and comments.
Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: Regardless of how you feel in your body, regardless of what’s happening in your household, put your trust in God and confess that either way, whatever happens, He is good!

I understand cessationalism to be the belief that individuals no longer are imbued with certain gifts of the Holy Spirit such as healing.
Couple of questions:
1. Do they still believe that the Holy Spirit comes upon them to say help them grasp deeper meanings and connections found in Scripture?
2. Do most cessationalists believe that all miracles have ceased? And as for those that believe miracles can still occur, Do they believe that the miracles that they allow for come about as the result of individual and corporate prayer? That is, God still does miracles in response to prayers (such as healing) but that such miracles are not channeled through just particular individuals as a gift of the Spirit?
