  1. May I share a quote from our president Barack Hussein Obama.
From a book He wrote in 2008 called The Audacity
of Hope. ” I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly way “

  2. Paul,

No Way! Good grief. That doesn’t bode well for us or Israel. Can you identify the page number, please?

Why has no one illuminated that statement before?

Our news agencies are worthless these days.

  3. Sheila,

    A quick google search…

“In “Audacity of Hope” he writes: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of “The Audacity of Hope.”-http://www.conservativecrusader.com/articles/b-hussein-obama-i-will-stand-with-the-muslims

Is this accurate? I do not know.

    Shalom

  4. The analogy between the events in the book of Esther and the current events with Bibi Netanyahu in the US Congress is certainly striking and I was going to mention it in my Purim sermon this weekend.
The decree of the king of Persia was to wipe the Jews out. The new decree after Haman was exposed was to allow the Jews to defend themselves. What makes the parallel even more interesting is that Netanyahu said in Congress that if the US does not stand with Israel (which means no deals!), they will defend themselves – and they can.
It is like God has given the second decree to the world, in the form of the development of Israel and her military power.
The only question I have:”Is Obama Haman or the king?” I don’t know. But I do know that the church had better take up its Esther role and begin praying and fasting for Israel and that Obama will turn around or be fully exposed.
I am so glad that Netahyahu came to speak in the Congress.

  5. The Ayatollah Khomeini is Haman and Iran “is” ancient Persia—or what is left of it.

I’ll have to check that out, Bo. Thanks.

  6. Bo and Paul,

    From Snoops:

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

“This statement is a rewording of a passage from page 261 of The Audacity of Hope, in which Barack Obama spoke of the importance of not allowing inflamed public opinion to result in innocent members of immigrant groups being stripped of their rights, denied their due as American citizens, or placed into confinement, as was done with Japanese-Americans during World War II. The original contains no specific mention of “Muslims”:

“In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

  7. There is no threat of internment camps in the USA and this book was published 7 years after 911. Let us look at France and Germany today. Will this be the future here for Christauns and Jews?

  8. Paul,

I’m still wondering what the “dark underbelly” of immigration is?

It’s admirable to work for the underdog, and to want to lift others up, but, when you do that at the expense of someone else, is that helping anyone?

His ties to Frank Marshall Davis and the socialist beliefs he fostered are just as worrisome as his condescension to the Muslims on the other side of the world!!

  9. What we see here is a man stoking a fire strirring up dissension .We see this in the word of God that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against evil and principalities in high places .The light in this world is going dim we can see it moving away and leaving darkness . I believe the day of the Gentiles is apon us and the time of Jacob’s trouble is here !

  10. When corrupt politicians in effect say “peace and safety”, as if there is nothing at all to worry about, we need to wake up.

  11. In comment to what Paul posted above…Some leaven in NATO anyway. Shouldn’t I think that the nations of NATO would put so much pressure on Turkey, that it would either have to get Hamas out or get out of NATO?
