Although it seems clear Isaiah knew of both Jerusalem ‘above’, at least another, maybe knew of more, beyond, above, this one Jerusalem down here, ‘below’, so as to the ‘fullness of the Gentiles be come in’ however, Paul knew of Messiah’s clear statement of the ‘gathering’, from one end of heaven to the other (and stated, as translated in Tree of Life Version, ‘for if their rejection’ leads to ‘reconciliation’ of the world, what will their acceptance be but ‘life from the dead’) an obvious reference to his own ‘gospel’, he preached of resurrection, now provided for all, from here, by ‘LAST Adam’
Dr. Brown has mentioned this verse a few times, but what do you all think about the context of who is being spoken of? I believe this to be a fitting verse for “The End Times and the Jewish Scriptures”.
Isaiah 26:20
20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
Paul said ‘and WHEN’ have completed my total race to be run, including in other passages ‘until’ my spiritual BODY has been instantaneously ‘changed’ (for the soul BODY must first have it’s literal bodily resurrection of the FLESH, same ‘dna’, of different ‘dust’, from this tiny ‘copy’ of those heavenly ‘patterns above’, chosen Footstool ‘of Messiah’s own passion’ to restore, resurrection lost, by first Adam representation all previous under ‘once upon a time’ an ‘appointment’ for to die just once, after that one death, comes ‘the judgment’). I would say that Isaiah 26:20 is speaking of ethnic, national Israel. Some say it’s speaking of the Church, but I don’t see any indication of such a reading.
Verse 1 is very indicative that it is national Israel.
Isa.26:1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah;
Geographical location given, Judah. People outside of Judah are not singing this song.
Verse 13 speaks of others having dominion over the land of Judah.
13 O Lord our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.
Verse 16 through 18 speak of a people who have been under God’s chastening, specifically the people of Judah/Israel.
16 Lord, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.
17 Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O Lord.
18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
And then comes verse 20, when the prophet Isaiah tells “his people” to enter into their chambers until the indignation has overpassed which is most likely when they have fled to the mountains of Petra for safety and the Lord “comes out of His place” to rescue Israel.

21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
It is a very interesting song.
