Forgiveness and Restitution (and the Korean rapper Psy); and Who Says the World is Supposed to Like Us?

[Download MP3]

Dr. Brown asks whether offering forgiveness can also require making restitution, focusing on the Korean rapper Psy and his White House invitation; then he analyzes the relevance of contemporary criticisms of evangelical Christians based on worldly opinion polls. Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: God extends forgiveness to us as a gift of His grace and we ought to extend that forgiveness to others as well. Often, those who are truly forgiven demonstrate their gratitude by the depth of their repentance.

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: God’s ways are ways of life and ways of truth and when we deviate from God’s ways, from God’s foundations, all types of error will come in, including the breakdown of the family and the justification of that, based on a misuse of scripture.

  1. For those who have never served, they are unaware of the protection that the US Military provides to this Nation. If we did have that protection they would then be much more AWARE. 1976-2007, I served this country. How dare they…including the so called Leaders of this country. I guess it is more important for White House to invite those that say such things against us than it is to invite someone like me.
    COME LORD JESUS COME.

  2. To Pastor Brown, sadly ignorant people do not understand what you are saying most of the time as you are speaking from the heart and Spirit of God. I can clearly see the massive move of desensitizing not only in the world but in the church as well. We are experiencing in very large numbers not only a sense of entitlement but the acceptance and approval of that which contradicts the word of God. These are the most frustrating and glorious times we live in. I wanted to encourage you in this hour we live in and remind you to read Romans 1:32. We are standing strong in the power of His might and love as we have a ministry called fight for the family and it has been awesome bringing restoration and reconciliation to families over the years. We will be praying for you and ask if you would do the same for us. God bless you!

  3. I suppose that many people’s opinions of Christians are shaped by the news media.

In my state (Washington) the local TV news celebrated gay marriages for what seemed to be all week at least. If I turned to another news station, the same celebration was going on by news people.

    (Eph 4:29, 5:12)

I suppose they will say they were not celebrating it but rather were simply reporting it, but it seemed like a celebration to me.

There’s nothing right in the gay agenda.

There’s an opinion that seems to go, that if a man can marry a woman, then in order for all women to have equal rights, a woman must have the same right, but there’s nothing right in that at all.

I believe that when men forgive, they do not look to be restored by the one who stole from them though they hope for their restoration.

When we do restore to another what we have taken, our own restoration has started.
