[Download MP3]

Just back from his trip to Israel, Dr. Brown shares key kingdom insights on the upcoming elections and takes your questions on all relevant topics. Listen live here 2-4 pm EST, and call into the show at (866) 348 7884 with your questions and comments.

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: The world is getting totally worked up by the elections. America is getting more and more divided by the day over the elections. Let that not be the case with us. Let us give ourselves to unity in Jesus and unstinting prayer and repentance at the throne of God for revival in the church and Jesus revolution in society.

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: Stir your own heart, get with God, say, “Here I am, send me, use me”.

  1. There is a lively interest in US elections here in the UK. We always cover the debates and the ebb and flow of campaigning. There was live coverage of the debates on radio and TV, even though they are at 2 a.m. British time!

We care very much about the issues, and realise how hard it is for Christians to cast a vote, when there is no room for third party candidates. May I say, from over the pond, that it is really hard to do the right thing, when there are so few men of principle about? It’s not much better here.

    Come, Lord Jesus!

PS I like the new photo of Dr Brown on the top of the webpage. He looks friendly and relaxed.

  2. Regarding the resurrection, here are some of my thoughts for anyone interested.

A lot of Christians don’t believe or have any meaningful consciousness of the Millennium being on earth and not in heaven, and for eternity being in the new Jerusalem on the new earth, not in heaven, and consequently they believe we’ll be spirits in heaven for eternity. Some Christians actually believe we’ll be sitting on clouds in heaven. *palm-face* But I believe at the moment of death, we leave our bodies to go to heaven to be with the lord, so we are not complete in heaven, but are disembodied spirits UNTIL the resurrection, when we get our new bodies.

    I heard 1 Corinthians 15:50 quoted,

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.”

But we also know that the resurrected Lord said,

Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.” Luke 24:39

Some might see a contradiction, but it isn’t. All created beings are part of a kind/species. There are the Cherubim, the Sefarim, the human race (of which Adam was the first), the Leviathan, dogs and cats. The key is to know we will leave the Adamic kind, and take on a new kind. This is what Matthew 22:30 says about it,

In the resurrection they…are like the angels in heaven.

Before that Yeshua said, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.” This means there’s verses in the Tanakh about this. I believe one of the clearest is Zechariah 12:8 which says,

In that day (the second coming) the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem…the house of David shall be like the angels, like the Angel of the Lord (Yeshua) before them.

This language of being like the Angel of the Lord is very similar to,

“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him (Yeshua), for we shall see Him as He is.” 1 John 3:2

Notice that it sounds like it’s necessary to join this new species/kind in order to see Yeshua properly. Verses like “no (mortal) man can see God and live”, yet “the angels see the face of God” jump to mind.

So to truly see the face of God, we’d need to join a species/kind similar to one of the angelic kinds.

  3. I find it ironic that people claim to be voting for Romney because they cannot vote for somebody who believes in killing a baby in the womb. Yet, Romney also believes in abortion. He campaigned to champion pro-choice policies. Also, Dr. Brown had a guest on the show explaining how Romneycare also funded abortions. So I do not understand the hypocrisy. Lastly, Romney twisted Ryan’s arm to compromise his position on abortion, simply for political expediency.
