This might not be the right place to put this question, but I will put it out there anyway since you have expertise in Scriptural languages which I lack.
Hebrews 1:2 is almost invariably translated as “in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.”
Only Youngs Literal translation translates the last “through whom He also made the ages”.
Now in John 3:16 and elsewhere “Kosmos” is translated into “world”, but in Heb. 1:2 the Greek for what is translated as “World” is “aion” which seems much more consistent with a term of time. My question is why do most translations prefer world?
It seems if this is translated as “ages”, then Jesus is being called the creator of time itself.
