As Dr. Brown travels back from India today, he is replaying a classic interview from 2011 with his dear friends Yesupadam and Monika. Your hearts will be stirred and challenged as you listen! Listen live here 2-4 pm EST, and call into the show at (866) 348 7884 with your questions and comments!
Hour 1:
Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: If it is true that Jesus the Son of God shed His blood for us, if it is true that the spotless lamb of God gave Himself for filthy wretched sinners, what act of service, what act of obedience is too much? In fact, whatever we do is too little to repay our eternal debt of gratitude. Let’s go for it!
Hour 2:
Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: It is not radical to follow Jesus by life or by death. It is not radical to say,” Here I am send me.” It is not radical to give our blood for the gospel, to give our heart, mind, and soul for the King of kings and Lord of lords! In fact, it is the least we can do!
SPECIAL OFFER! THIS WEEK ONLY!
I think that it would be difficult to imagine the severe poverty in India unless we go there and experience it for ourselves. I’ve heard of it and seen pictures of it, but it’s even more real to me now as I was listening to Yesupadam. What a soft heart! Thanks for playing this program again for those of us who missed it. I thank God for the churches in India who are true witnesses to God’s strength and joy in the midst of tribulation. But of course, this is absolutely no excuse for us to be unmindful of the great needs in that country. Thank God for His church that stands as a witness to our Savior’s resurrection. The church proves that Jesus is alive and in Him, we live forever. Our hope is a great hope. Thank God for His grace because without it, the church would not have survived all these many years.
The real eye-opener in India is the extreme contrasts: There is terrible poverty affecting many tens of millions, and there is incredible wealth enjoyed by millions of others — and sometimes they are side by side.
Michael, can this not also be said of those within the Body ?
See ‘The Jubilee Gospel’ – an underrated book that discusses equality in Messiah. God granted O-M-E-R (in the wilderness, and daily bread in Messiah) ; alas, many Western disciples want M-O-R-E.
