  1. Dear Dr. Brown, I’m sorry that caller got testy with you over Ephesians 2. But I would like to share something with you.
If you study the early Jewish texts and the New Testament, there were two things which completely utterly change the identity of an individual – adoption and baptism.

Now, as you know, Messiah is called David in the prophetic writings, and Isaiah 53:10 talks about the Messiah seeing his seed – those who put their faith in the Messiah becoming, “like the angels in heaven.” (Matthew 22:30,Mark 12:25,Luke 20:35-38)

But did you know this reference to it?

Notice “לִפְנֵיהֶם” that sounds remarkable close to Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war… And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
    Revelation 19:11,14

Those clothed in white linen behind Messiah are clearly the Believers (Revelation 19:8 , 3:4-5, 18, 4:4, 6:11, 7:9,13-14)

What’s my point, the identity of those in Messiah, from God’s point of view, is that they’re of the בֵּית בֶן דָּוִיד.

And just as David was kingly priest/priestly king, like you mentioned in this show, so too are we, only this heavenly reality will only be made known at the resurrection when it will become an earthly reality.

  2. @Dr. Brown, I just have to say, I really love what you said about violence.

The carnal man would love to go to a Roman Colosseum and watch gladiators brutally and painfully murder people. But I really believe that David was not motivated by blood lust when he killed Goliath, but by pure righteous indignation, that when he killed men, he wasn’t going, oh gee, this is so much funny, look I just cut a head off, but rather had a clean spirit, and did it without any personal enjoyment, but for the sake of the Lord. Very much like the attitude that the Messiah will have when he returns and kills the AntiChrist army.
