Dr. Brown interviews Christian activist Rev. Pat Mahoney on the implications of the Supreme Court’s decision on Obamacare for believers, discusses some of the latest, important news, and then takes a look at the unashamed Christian testimony of Hobby Lobby stores.

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: I have often quoted the words of the courageous German leader Dietrich Bonhoeffer who said, “The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world it leaves to its children.” On this Fourth of July, what kind of world are we leaving to our children and grandchildren?

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: On this Fourth of July as we look at the state of our nation, let’s look in the mirror and ask ourselves a question: What would the church and our nation look like if every believer lived with the same level of commitment and devotion that you do?

Jesus, Christians and Politics online article by Frank Turek:

The United States Congress was in a rare joint session. All 435 representatives and 100 senators were in attendance, and the C-SPAN-TV cameras were rolling. The members were gathered together to hear a speech by a descendant of George Washington. But what they thought would be a polite speech of patriotic historical reflections quickly turned into a televised tongue-lashing. With a wagging finger and stern looks, Washington’s seventh-generation grandson declared, […]

Revolution: The Call to Holy War by Dr. Brown: This book is not a call for the violent overthrow of the government, nor is it a call to take up arms, nor is it a call to political activism in and of itself. It is a call to something far more extreme, a call to live out the gospel…

How Saved Are We? by Dr. Brown: This unsettling book challenges us to ask ourselves what kind of born-again experience we have had if it calls for almost no personal sacrifice, produces virtually no separation from the world, and breeds practically no hatred of sin.

Country a Mess? Blame the Church online article by Frank Turek:

As our great country accelerates its slide into economic and moral Hell, be careful whom you blame. The present boldness of liberals and timidity of conservatives are only the secondary causes. Much of the blame can be placed at the foot of the church. […]

  1. Wish I had audio so I could hear this. Now that the Supreme Court has spoken, what is it saying, that what is not to be enforced can now be forced upon people, or that the new American ideal to which people will be committed to is….anything goes, as long as whatever the powers that be want it to be… that goes, that America should be a nation of two faces that go in opposing directions, that it is now determined that the Constitution never did make any sense, that it could never progess into anything except digression and hypocrisy?

  2. Who thought up freedom of religion? Whoever it was probably knew that America, if it kept the freedom of religion, would have many disagreements. There are many religions in the world and they all seem to have beliefs that are against each other. Therefore, to keep the peace and the freedom of religion, America needs to have a way to keep fairness and equality between all religions. History has shown that America was able to do this. But what if a belief of one religion causes harm to another person? I see then that an authority must take action to protect our freedom. Man-made laws are imperfect because man made them. However, America survived through a lot. God is gracious. We are a nation that is divided, but peace found a way.
