Purim; Campus Anti-Semitism; and an Interview with Messianic Rabbi Steve Weiler

[Download MP3]

Dr. Brown will share some of the thoughts from his lecture later tonight at the University of South Florida, along with talking about the biblical holiday of Purim and it’s significance in Jewish history. He’ll also talk with Messianic Rabbi Steve Weiler about the rising tide of campus anti-Semitism.

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: God who established Israel in the land, will cause His purposes for Israel to come to pass. But it is imperative we know the truth, speak the truth, stand for the truth, and the truth will set everyone free!

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: We believe in justice, doing what is right, and liberty and justice for all, which in fact is one of the reasons that we stand with Israel, not against Israel!

Editor’s Note: For a list of pro-Hamas demonstrations around America and the globe, click here Tom Trento of watchobsession.org posted this video of a December 30th pro-Hamas demonstration in Ft. Why Have Jewish People Been So Hated?

VOR Article by Dr. Brown

I devoted much of my book, Our Hands Are Stained with Blood, to the subject of anti-Semitism, and on several occasions I have delivered lectures on the question of why anti-Semitism exists. Out of all the hatreds in […]

Our Hands are Stained with Blood

From the first “Christian” persecutions of the Jews in the fourth century to the unspeakable horrors of the holocaust, from Israel-bashing in today’s press to anti-semitism in today’s pulpits, this shocking and painful book tells the tragic story of the “Church” and the Jewish people. It is a story every Christian must hear.

  1. This is a great video by an Arab Christian about Israel, Palestine and Hamas: http://thedeceptionofallah.com/videos/283/hamas-killing-palestinians-in-gaza-rare-footage-palestine

It’s a great video and wonderful to hear it from an Arab. There is usually great amounts of antiSemitism even amongst Arab Christians, but not all. So, I recommend looking at that video.

Here is another video of a city in Israel called “Umm alFahm”, they interview Israeli-Arabs in the city and they talk about their wonderful lives in Israel. Lives that they would never have in any government ruled by “Palestinians”. One said that 95% of the Arabs in that city would rather stay under the Israeli government than “Palestinian” government! A town with over 50,000 Arab-Israelis too. Link — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BWDbxYgLJw&feature=related

  2. Does anybody else try listen live via the link on the site? Why is it that a commercial break almost goes 10 minutes, and when the show resumes Dr. Brown is in mid-sentence and goes back to break in two minutes?

  3. Dr. Brown,
Just wanted to say again, “Thank you”, for all you do in service to the Beloved Lord. I pray for you, Nancy, and your ministry every day and often tell God he got a good one with you.

  4. I found parts of this show extremely difficult (heartbreaking) to listen to. I have a very hard time with violence in any way, shape or form. It’s so difficult to sit through stories like the family that was murdered without being terribly affected; overwhelmed by it.

It would be like anyone of us living in a neighborhood with 1000’s of serial killers living in the adjoining neighborhood. When could you ever truly get any rest?

Darkness is put for light and people don’t see it!? I’m wondering how Jimmy Carter (a professing Christian) came to his conclusions? That’s a baffling one.

  5. This came to me: you know how verses of Scripture could mean many different things all at once – on different levels? Some Jews demand that Isaiah 53 be interpreted as being THEM, and through their suffering, healing came to the world?

    Doesn’t it say…
Rom 11:15 For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world…

…that their rejection of Messiah – and suffering, through their rejection of Him – brought reconciliation/healing to the nations? Could this be considered valid?

  6. Was the Holocaust necessary for the rebirth and reconciliation of Israel? ONLY when the veil is lifted, and they understand and weep for their Firstborn, as Zechariah says.
I always say, “better a hard head and soft heart than vice versa.”
Our partnership in the Marriage Covenant was never meant to be easy; glorious, victorious, yes.
I still don’t like waiting, though. I’m as prone to look for quick fixes as anyone.
    In Him, Ron M.

  7. The Isaiah 53 part was a general response. Otherwise, just my usual randomness.
I’m going through a lot right now; so a bit of self-therapy involved, I guess.
Severe injustice bothers me; when I’m in the middle of it, it makes things even harder to sort out. I’d rather look for real solutions than say something positive to look good.
My thought this morn was, “Lot holed up in a cave; Job sat out in the open to be a laughingstock; let ’em talk; I have to wait for GOD to justify.” Years of waiting; my wife is starting to use the ‘hope deferred…” verse.
You don’t get that many turquoise bluesky days like this in the Smokies, however. So we keep on keepin’ on…
    In Him, Ron M.

  8. You ask for advice; you try everything you know- and I’m pretty adamant about research- and still the solution doesn’t appear. You do the right thing, and get punished for it. What a world.
Jesus didn’t have a handful of followers on the cross; now, supposedly, a third of the world. It’s the Resurrection, of course; something far beyond all of our abilities put together. This is the AMEN (hebrew) faith part. But when the Promises don’t come, and then don’t come, and then don’t come… well, it starts making the Bible real; you go past ‘good preachin!’ to the reality of what GOD has been trying to tell you all along. It hurts; and you wonder how the joy can be restored. “Give me a miracle, or I die.” This is the critical mass point: where solid becomes liquid, and liquid vapor. It is insistence past anything you can ask or think.
    In Him, Ron M.
