Dr. Brown Interviews Ron Cantor and Messianic Rabbi Sam Nadler

[Download MP3]

Dr. Brown interviews Messianic leaders Sam Nadler and Ron Cantor on the Feasts of Israel, the Jewishness of Jesus, and the release of Gilad Schalit.

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: The Jewish people are promised ultimate salvation in Jesus, Yeshua. There will be a final turning and remnant, those who come to faith who have never believed. But friends, we live today! Let’s not wait for that day to happen, it’s our time to share the gospel with Jewish people, because without Jesus, they are lost. Salvation can be found only in Him.

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: Truth is truth. What we’re trying to do is not “be Jewish” or try to make Jesus and the early believers Jewish, we’re simply seeking to recover the truth and embrace Jesus, Yeshua, for all He is and was, so that we can be enriched, then go and enrich our world.

Word of Messiah Ministries (WMM) exists to bring the Good News of Yeshua “to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile”(Romans 1:16). To accomplish this, WMM plants Messianic congregations with the belief that the most effective long-term testimony of the Good News is a healthy, local congregation. In addition, WMM brings to the greater Body of Messiah teaching and exhortation on the calling for all believers to make Israel jealous for their Messiah (Romans 11:11). Through sound biblical teaching, WMM trains both Jewish and Gentile believers for personal growth, outreach, leadership, and congregation planting around the world. Our goal is to see Messianic communities of maturing believers testify both to the Jewishness of the faith, and the faithfulness of God to His people.

Our History
“Jesus saved me last night; what do I do now?” After coming to faith, Sam was soon with Jews for Jesus, sharing on the streets of San Francisco. He met his wife Miriam, went through Bible college, and helped start a “Jewish Gospel” group called the Liberated Wailing Wall. In 1975 through establishing the Jews for Jesus New York City branch, Sam began to see that evangelism is not enough — bringing Jews and Gentiles to the Lord is only the beginning. Rather than finishing a task, the fruits of evangelism create both an opportunity and responsibility for lifelong discipleship. Jewish believers need to be grounded in the faith as Jewish believers.

  1. I heard that the blueprints for the 3rd temple are drawn out.

    Maranatha!

    2 Thessalonians 2
1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away(DEPARTURE) comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God[c] in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He[d] who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

  2. Until Christians can come to a unitarian view of God the divide between Jews and Muslims will remain. Although many, unfortunately, have dispensed with the Jewish-Christian creed of the Shema in favour of the trinitarian, Catholic-Protestant orthodox view of God.

  3. Just have to say, Rabbi Nadler’s remark that he was living in Eureka, CA but “I didn’t find God there.” That’s just hillarious and classic.

  4. Thank you for hosting Dr. Sam Nadler – hope you’ll do so again soon. It’s always a great pleasure to listen to him. Looking forward to exploring the Feasts through his series.

I especially appreciated hearing about his journey from unbelief to faith – wish there had been more time in the broadcast to cover all the milestones. Does anyone know if Dr. Nadler has published his personal testimony anywhere?

    (Thanks.)

  5. Chuck,

There are MANY more differences between Muslims and Christians than their view on the nature of God. Even if Christians would embrace the anti-biblical view of Unitarianism, there would still be a world of difference between the two groups.

  6. Hello,I am only an unregenerate Gentile who has some familiarity with Holy Scripture,as well as with some matters (and wineskins) that (intentionally or more likely, unintentionally) serve to desalinate and disempower (and leave unprepared) the British and American contingent of the Bride. That said, here’s a comment :

I wish Sam well, may he finish up in the New Jerusalem with the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb, but I think one or two erroneous Gentile seeds have been planted in his mind : OSAS,and automatic unconscious baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Michael, you know neither is TRUE – and as you say ‘let TRUTH triumph’. It would be great if you took at leaf out of Priscilla and Aquila’s book, and sorted these out over lunch in/for Sam ( Proverbs 28:23 and Galatians 4:16).

  7. Praise Him, Rabbi,

I would most certainly appreciate your astute and spiritual thoughts on the following:

I have just one question … I hear ministers say that if saints take the communion

•.. cup of wine & the bread

… that individuals can claim their healing, and whatever is topsy-turvy in their lives
to be made whole … just from taking communion on a regular basis.

Is that really true? Although I am a born-again Christian, .. there seems to be something
wrong with that picture .. as opposed to taking Communion… as Jesus stated,
“IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME!” But, I’m opened to it .. if benefits are a bonus.

    Shalom,
    V. Mar
