Answering Jewish Objections to Jesus

[Download MP3]

Join Dr. Brown today on the Line of Fire as he tackles some more of the most common objections Jewish people have to Jesus as their Messiah.

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: When Paul wrote that all Israel would be saved, he was echoing what the prophets before him had spoken, and we are living in a day when more and more Jews are coming to realize that Jesus indeed is their Messiah, and that day we celebrate!

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: It will be a rough day for anti-Semites when the glorious one appears in the clouds, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, who Himself will be the Lion of Judah, a glorified Jew.

  1. Hi Dr. Brown.

Just dusted off one of your old shows and I’m in the process of listening to it — it’s great. About twenty minutes in, you address the question of Zerubbabel and how he could seemingly have had two fathers. Your answer makes sense.

However, is not a more significant problem the curse which Jeremiah pronounced (Jer 22:24) on the line of Jeconiah/Jehoiachin, of whom Zerubbabel was a descendant?

Could it not simply be that there were two men with the name Zerubbabel and that the one in Luke named his son Shealtiel also — perhaps in honour of his more illustrious namesake?

Forgive me if these questions are stupid — I’m neither Jewish nor a Hebrew scholar!

    God bless,

    Paul.

  2. I wrote,

Of course I meant to say:

    My apologies for the mix-up.

    Thanks,

    Paul.

  3. Sorry!

…On continuing to listen, I hear that you address the curse on Jeconiah/Jehoiachin near the hour-mark and say that the curse was later revoked by God — apologies for posting before I’d heard the whole program!

    Paul.
