Dr. Brown Answers the Rabbis (Part 2)

[Download mp3]

Dr. Brown responds to objections from Rabbi Michael Skobac and Rabbi Eli Cohen from Jews for Judaism. (Listen to part 1, responding to Rabbi Blumenthal’s objections, here.)

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: We have certainty, based on careful study of the scriptures, that the Messiah who will rule and reign at the end of the age, and establish God’s perfect kingdom on this earth, is the one who came and suffered, who died, and was rejected and misunderstood. As surely as He came, He will come again, our Jewish people will turn and recognize Him, and we will see the day when all Israel will be saved.

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: I’ve studied the scriptures for many, many years. I’ve learned that rather than Matthew and the authors of the New Testament being deceptive, shallow, or mishandling the scriptures, I discovered the depths of wisdom, knowledge, and insight and truths of the Messiah in their writings.

  1. No need for the personal insults. And thanks for writing, but you’re completely wrong about Jer 31. Dr. Brown quoted it in context, and Rabbi Freitag consistently misrepresented Dr. Brown’s position. As for the rest of your questions, Dr. Brown has answered them in depth in his five volumes on Answering Jewish Objections to Jesus, as well as on his 32-part video series here. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOSesbHxQr2Ta7WjFBut_bjLRWwMSYepK.

As for interest in the subject, it appears you’re very unfamiliar with how comments on archived shows (from 6 yrs ago!) actually works. Additionally, interest continues to grow, as Dr. Brown’s material receives hundreds of thousands of views and comments on YouTube and other platforms.

Dr. Brown also welcomes Jewish callers on Thursdays on his radio broadcast and you raise your questions to him then as well.

  2. Hello Dylan,

I have no interest reading Dr. Brown books, especially from someone that is often going around the subject, all we are asking you is to stop!

Whom should I follow? G-d or Dr. Brown?

Since you ignored subscribing here, Jer 31 verse 33 for all other Jewish readers, I will do it for you.

Jer31:33 “And no longer shall one teach his neighbor or [shall] one [teach] his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,” for they shall all know Me from their smallest to their greatest, says the Lord, …..

Dr. Brown said, it already happened with the coming of Jesus, didn’t he?
If so, why does Dr. Brown still have to talk to us about Jesus (so called G-d)?

G-d says in that sentence that, there will not be a need to teach us about him as we will all know him from the smallest to the greatest, didn’t he? Yes or No? No need for extra bla bla bla, this sentence is pretty clear and yes, Dr. Brown took it out of context as Rabbi Freitag said otherwise, why does Dr. Brown bother to have debates?

You said I am insulting you, don’t you feel like you are insulting us? I repeat my question: Do you really think we are stupid? We know Hebrew probably than Dr. Brown does.

Please don’t hesitate to let me know when Dr. Brown will come to Atlanta next time and I will challenge him reading a Hebrew article to show us how his Hebrew is.

    Isahia 53:6 ו.
is יהֹוָה = Jesus? Yes or No? If you answer Yes, please translate in Hebrew Je-ho-va (lamedeni chokecha).

If Jesus is G-d and he comes from the lineage of David then, David must be G-d’s grandfather, isn’t he? Yes or No pretty simple to answer.

    For Jewish readers:
Nowhere in the Torah it is said that G-d will send his so called son as an atonement for our sins and nowhere in the Torah it is said that G-d will send messiah as an atonement for our sins.
    Deu 24:16 לֹא יוּמְתוּ אָבוֹת עַל בָּנִים וּבָנִים לֹא יוּמְתוּ עַל אָבוֹת אִישׁ בְּחֶטְאוֹ יוּמָתוּ
Fathers shall not be put to death because of sons, nor shall sons be put to death because of fathers; each man shall be put to death for his own transgression

I strongly believe that Dr. Brown and Dylan have no understanding of how effective must an atonement be, if they did, they wouldn’t consider Jesus as an atonement.
I do have a lot of Christians friends that once, I explain them how effective an atonement must be, are questioning the reason why Jesus is consider an atonement. They themselves believe that, close to 100% of Christian do not really understand how effective an atonement must be.

    Jacob

  3. Dylan,

In general, you expect everyone to agree with you, if not, you run away from the problem.
In the old time, we Jews had to follow you or death by the sword.

Have I cornered you with my questions? It was simple to answer Yes or No.
Do you need to craft a web for it?

    Jacob,
