Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: I’ve said it many times before, and I’ll say it again: the biggest problem with our society today is not so much the presence of darkness, but the absence of light. What are we waiting for? It’s time to shine, and show the world what’s right from what’s wrong!

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: We must stand up for what is right, and if we do not, we will have to apologize to God, to our children, grandchildren, and to the homosexual community.

Meet Rena Linavaldsen:

Rena Lindevaldsen serves as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs; Associate Professor of Law; and Associate Director, Liberty Center for Law and Policy. She began serving as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in July 2011. After one year as an adjunct assistant professor of law at Liberty University School of Law, she joined the full-time faculty. Previously, she served as Senior Litigation Counsel to Liberty Counsel, a nonprofit litigation and education organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and traditional family.

At Liberty Counsel, she was actively involved in efforts throughout the country to preserve traditional marriage through litigation, legislation, and constitutional amendments. She filed the first lawsuit to enjoin San Francisco’s efforts to “marry” same-sex couples, and obtained two orders enjoining public officials in New York from officiating same-sex unions. She successfully challenged New York City’s decision to publicly fund a high school for homosexual students and a Maryland school board’s decision to implement sex education curriculum that presented materials hostile to conservative, religious beliefs. In addition to her efforts to protect children and families, she regularly provided representation to Child Evangelism Fellowship in its efforts to gain access to public schools for after-school Good News Clubs. One case led to the first reported decision affirming the right of public school teachers to lead Bible clubs at school, after school hours. She also was part of the legal team that defended, in litigation at the United States Supreme Court, the right of McCreary County to display the Ten Commandments in a county building.

Gay Theologian to Ex-Gays: “Repent!”

VOR Article by Marcus French

In some incredibly twisted logic, a “theologian, seminary professor, and ordained minister” named Patrick Cheng posted an article on Huffington Post entitled ‘Ex-Gays’ and the Ninth Circle of Hell in which, as Randy Thomas of Exodus International (one of the “ex-gays” Cheng is describing) describes, “he basically said that ex-gays were going to hell and […]

An Italian Pop Singer and Public Debate

VOR Article by Marcus French

A remarkable event happened earlier this year in Italy… a pop singer bucked the cultural norms that say that gay and lesbian individuals cannot change their sexual orientation, and made a public statement in support of ex-gay individuals, all on national television. Roberto Marchesini shares this intriguing story here, and it is well worth a […]

Chicago Exodus Conference Draws Protest

VOR Article by Marcus French

In response to an Exodus International conference happening in the Chicago area on July 14th, the Gay Liberation Network will hold a protest (see the poster for the protest here) outside the event, declaring: Exodus International is the nation’s foremost organization claiming to use Christianity to turn LGBT people into “ex-gays.” And while they say […]

  1. A very healthy FEAR OF GOD is just absent from so many today. People just want God to be all about Love and I’m not saying God is not love, but where is the respect and fear due Him? In reading the book of Revelation it seem’s to be God’s intent to put the fear and respect of Him back in us! But, that’s the time and season that we are living in–where are those who fear God?

  2. I think Dr. Brown might have quoted this verse on the, ‘Is the Old Testament Relevant for Believers Today? And, Does All of the Teaching of Jesus Apply to Believers Today?’ show, but it pretty much sums up my feelings on it.

    People will hide themselves

in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and will’ve said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” Revelation 6:15-18

A lot of these same people that talk about how God is only love, will be the same people calling out to the mountains.

  3. These were posted on the lgbtqnation.website:

rip and thank you. i know you are in heaven watching over us all

    Derek Mccue
@Dan Kameny was a scientist and an atheist and it is an insult to his memory to foist your belief in an afterlife on him now that he is unable to defend himself.

That is just too sad and it hurts my heart, as now he is unable to save himself either. 🙁

  4. We need to step up our witness and our prayers and our efforts! It’s not going to get easier it’s going to get so much more difficult–the assaults will be more vicious, the front against us will get larger and wider but we are children of the Most High God and He will enable us!! We have to overcome and hold fast and work harder is all!!

  5. A lot of Christians have “A Head Knowledge of God” They are missing the heart of Christ. Pretty sad.

Its like the Martha and Mary case.

Martha thought she had to do work to please the Lord.

Mary just wanted to spend all her time at Jesus’s feet being with Him.

    What was Jesus reaction?

    Luke 10:41-42
“Martha, Martha, you worry and fret about so many things and yet few are needed, indeed only one. It is Mary who has chosen the better part and it shall not be taken from her.”

    Which are you???

    hmmmm

  6. Shouldn’t there be judges watching over judges in these United States of America?

What if there were a representative group of judges, like maybe one per state, which would have the power to remove a judge who judges wrongly, if all other systems fail?

Maybe even an entire Supreme Court system could be replaced by such a thing if ever the need arises.

I wish there were such a group of judges who were ordained to do what is right.

And some may ask, How will they know what is right? They had better do the best they can using the highest standard they have ever heard of.

They should be like a jury that stays at it until they see God…. or at least until they see his wisdom come out in front, his righteousness, his justice, his equity, his judgment.

It would all depend on whether or not they were a group of God fearing judges wouldn’t it?

But if these judges knew that they could be removed by their own, maybe they wouldn’t be so easily used by evil for the sake of evil.

And if a judge brings up a matter for judgment, against another and it turns out to be nothing, he himself could be removed.

I would think that there would be enough godly judges who would be willing to take the risk.

I would think there would be some who would be grabbing at their robes when they would hear of some of these decisions, just chomping at the bit to get rid of some of these kind of decisions because if the judicial system gets that corrupt they would likely be happy to throw in their robe and walk, and tell them what they are, just before they leave.

  7. Dr. Brown–

I think I’m going to be sick to my stomach! I’ve begun chapter 10 of your book, “A Queer Thing..” I’m nauseous…I’m disgusted…I’m enraged! I had no idea–none!

We’re living the words of Paul and the prophets. Chapter 10 leaves no doubt in my mind. Darkness is put for light and light is called darkness. Their turning of things upside down will be esteemed as the potters vessel when the Lord arises to shake terribly the earth!

I’d like to purchase 2 copies of your book to put into the hands of 2 people who post on your blog. You can contact me through my email address or phone number.

Because “A Queer Thing..” will help to bring the true Church together like nothing else. It’s a nice diversion to debate doctrine about this or that—but what we do is not what Paul was talking about!! Chapter 10 nails it! I pray that all of those things that further divide us will fly out the window after they read this book.

Isa. 25:4 For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Isa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

1Pe 4:5 They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

1Pe 4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. [fn] On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

  8. How in the world did you maintain righteous indignation? It’s difficult to remember that these people are deceived and in need of the “real” Jesus who will also come in flaming fire taking vengeance on the ungodly.

  9. I wonder if a little devil sits on some judges shoulders at times and whispers things like “Would you like to make a new law?” or “How about writing some history?”

Judges have a lot of power. It’s a high calling isn’t it? They can do a lot of good, or evil.
