Gay Theologian to Ex-Gays: “Repent!”

VOR Article by Marcus French

In some incredibly twisted logic, a “theologian, seminary professor, and ordained minister” named Patrick Cheng posted an article on Huffington Post entitled ‘Ex-Gays’ and the Ninth Circle of Hell in which, as Randy Thomas of Exodus International (one of the “ex-gays” Cheng is describing) describes, “he basically said that ex-gays were going to hell and […]

An Italian Pop Singer and Public Debate

VOR Article by Marcus French

A remarkable event happened earlier this year in Italy… a pop singer bucked the cultural norms that say that gay and lesbian individuals cannot change their sexual orientation, and made a public statement in support of ex-gay individuals, all on national television. Roberto Marchesini shares this intriguing story here, and it is well worth a […]

Chicago Exodus Conference Draws Protest

VOR Article by Marcus French

In response to an Exodus International conference happening in the Chicago area on July 14th, the Gay Liberation Network will hold a protest (see the poster for the protest here) outside the event, declaring: Exodus International is the nation’s foremost organization claiming to use Christianity to turn LGBT people into “ex-gays.” And while they say […]

  1. Everyone crosses lines at some point in their life. The question is: staying sanctified by the blood of Christ and avoiding things that cause us to cross a line. Think of it as falling off a 10,000 foot cliff. That might help. But it might not. Do we really love Christ or the world and all of it’s sinful pleasures. Heaven or Hell will be your answer. You have to ask which do you want?

  2. The world has always been insane from the fall of man. God does want us to be HIS voice and hands and feet to spread the good news of HIS Salvation till HE comes back to rule the earth. But only the good ground will receive the truth and become saved. We are also to be a solution to help people we can help from this dying world. By providing answers why what they do is wrong. But the bad news is: it is only going to get worse according to Scripture, pray, pray, pray. For the only true Peace to come in Christ Himself. Come soon Lord Jesus.

  3. First the unborn didn’t matter while license did.
License was protected under a disguise they called the constitution while the life of an unborn child was not.

Now the children’s health and safety are in peril because of license. Their freedom to live life, and grow up without being molested is not being protected against the gay agenda.

First it was the unborn, now it’s the children.

    What’s next?

When people are not protected by the constitution what should they do? We have to speak up.

I fear that one day soon a case will show up in a court where a child has had his or her life changed, altered, tampered with, injured, and sues the school system that allowed the gay agenda in.

What should be the outcome of such a case? Should it be that license to speak, though it cause injury to another in a way that seriously affects their life, is to be protected by the constitution while the lives of the children are not?

Allowing the gay agenda into the school system should be considered sexual molestation.

What foolishness prevails whenever a system does not choose the fear of the Lord!

I think the people in government should read Proverbs before they sign anything into law.

Don’t child molesters still go to jail these days?

  4. This show really got me thinking. The really difficult for me is my own life and how much I’ve corrupted my own testimony. However, I honestly want to change. The truth is, I’ve only just begun being very serious with God. It was a long way to get to this point in my life. I’m twenty six years old right now and my life, of course, was very different than many of yours. I am a Gentile to the max if you understand what I’m saying. My parents took us to church when we were young, but I never really changed. I continued living for my own lusts and desires. It was only until I was about twenty years old that I truly understood the destructive nature of sin. Sadly, I learned this through a car accident that caused me to be paralyzed, and also took the life of my girlfriend. And even after that, I still found myself going back into the same old lifestyle. The deceitfulness of sin should not be treated lightly. But I kept asking God for mercy, and today, I finally have a stronger faith, a faith that I’ve asked God to give me. I’ve been seeking answers through science and philosophy and I’ve been really blessed by the work of Dr. Brown. I never had the real faith that I have today. Today, I can say that I believe in God and that He revealed Himself through Jesus Christ and that He calls us to be a part of His family. Sin is so bad. It seems like it is not taken very seriously in churches today. I watch tv shows of Pastors preaching the Word and a lot of the message is about grace, which is good, but it is so important to point out the seriousness of sin. I’m not a very educated person, but from experience, I can say this. If you allow a little sin in your life, you will grow less aware of it. Then, things get worse. As darkness gets darker, the heart grows harder. Soon, your mind becomes darkened and then death takes a hold of you. You begin to enjoy the pleasures of sin. Then you want to enjoy more pleasures from sin so you go deeper into the darkness to find it. It’s DECEITFUL. It TRICKS us. Who knows if you will ever see the light again if you go too deep into the darkness? I am so embarrassed of the many things that I’ve done. I can only say that it’s the grace of God that has given me the faith that I have today. I want to please Him now because I see how much He cares about me and that He was still willing to help me, even when I showed so much disrespect towards Him. I am embarrassed, but I thank God for His great love. You have such a big heart Dr. Brown. My heart is so cold toward these very important issues. I don’t know how you were able to change so radically as I’ve heard from your testimony. I wish that I had the same heart as yours when you made that radical change. Concerning the homosexual topic, I know very little about the whole thing. I think it would be very helpful if we heard testimonies from homosexuals who changed their lifestyles by the power and grace of God. I wanted to understand more about it, so I purchased your book, “A Queer Thing Happened to America”. But like I said, my life and testimony has been corrupted by the sins that I’ve allowed in my life. I hope God can change me as I seriously look to Him today. I know that I can’t be any help to anybody if my own life is not right. It would be like trying to cast out demons without the power of God. Acts 19:15 “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?” I want God’s power in my life, but it’s so difficult because my life is so messed up and I know that there are so many areas that I need to change. But I know that I can’t change them all in one day. It’s hard. Have mercy Jesus, my Lord and Savior. I continue to ask God to have mercy and to guide my life today that I might be able to change everything that needs to be changed by His power and mercy. Just a small word of encouragement that encouraged me. Matthew 12:29 “Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.” Jesus came into our world and by God’s power, He was able to cast out demons. Jesus came into our world and was not afraid Satan, but saved us by freeing us from the power of Satan. Jesus said that He must first bind the strong man before he spoil his house. I hope that I’m understanding this scripture correctly. Jesus is saving people by pulling them out of the kingdom of Satan. He is, to my understanding, first binding Satan, by taking away His power over our lives, and then spoiling Satan’s house, by pulling us out by His own power. It reminds me of the angel who had the great chain in his hand. Revelation 20:1-2 “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him….” Can you imagine that angel with that enormous chain wrapping it around the Devil? What great power! May God have mercy on me and on us all, and may He teach us to be true followers and be with us that we might reach out to the world with His power. I think that’s why it’s important that we live right in God’s sight who sees our deeds and our hearts, that He might go with us and that we might go with His power. God bless.

  5. Sorry for the grammar errors. I noticed two errors. afraid “of” Satan- missing “of” AND taking away “h”is power over our lives- small “h”

  6. R. Kneubuhl,
God Bless you for your honestly. I pray that the Lord will continue to use you for acknowledging the truth that we basically can not live a wholesome, clean life without the Lord Jesus guiding us and emptying us out of sin.

Stay strong and keep hungering and thirsting for His righteous.

    Blessings.

  7. R. Kneubuhl,

Thanks so much for sharing your heart and for your kind words. As you lean hard on the Lord, trusting His strength and grace at work in you, you’ll be amazed to see what He does in your life. Your testimony will be stronger than it’s ever been!
