Dr. Brown Answers Your Questions

[Download MP3]
Should all Jews — especially Messianic Jews — return to Israel and live there? Should a Christian landlord rent his house to a lesbian couple? How do angels fight each other and delay each other? And what is the best way to translate John 1:1? Dr. Brown answers these questions and more today on the Line of Fire!

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: May I ask you plainly what you’re doing with your life? Are you living your life in the light of eternity? If you stood before God today, would He say, “Well done, good and faithful servant?” If not, the time to change is now.

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: In the world, there is a lot of confusion, there are a lot of questions. We, of all people, should have our heads screwed on right, and be able to say, “Look at me; I have answers, my life is stable. I know the Lord, I really am founded and grounded. Follow me, as I follow Jesus.” Friends, the world needs it!

Dr. Brown Critiques “With God on Our Side,” Part Two

A Queer Thing Happened to America by Dr. Brown: A Queer Thing Happened to America chronicles the amazing transformation of America over the last forty years, literally, from Stonewall Inn to the White House, and addresses the question head-on: Is there really a gay agenda, or is it a fiction of the religious right? Written in a lively and compelling style, but backed with massive research and extensive interaction with the GLBT community, this forthright and yet compassionate book looks at the extraordinary impact gay activism has had on American society.

Your ‘Escape’, Their ‘Misery’-Thoughts on a Pre-Trib Rapture VOR Article By John Paul

I find many Christians who support the restoration of the Jewish people to their homeland in Israel also subscribe to the end-time teaching known as the pre-tribulation rapture. This teaching holds that Jesus will return first as a “thief in the night” to snatch away the Church prior to a hellish reign of terror by […]

  1. Dr. Brown,
Do you think you might be able to get around to my question I had posted earlier in the week — about how in John it says “the Spirit had not yet been given”, yet the Prophets had the Spirit “in” them, according to 1 Pet 1:11? Is the (greek) “en” to be understood as “on” instead of “in”?

Again, I’m not looking for a contradiction; I’m looking to see how they’re both true.

  2. Dr. Brown,
I agree with you, and I’ve prayed with Muslims before (they invited me to their house), and I’d told the man that God lived in me — and I felt God wanted me to tell them we should pray; so, I did, and I felt the power of God flowing out of me, and apparently the man did, as well and looked at me with a sort of “surprise”: “you said… God is INSIDE of you?…”; I agree.

  3. Dr. Brown,
Would it be wrong, then (because you say that the Spirit was INSIDE men) for me to say, “Jesus died for our sins, to cleanse us, so that we could receive the Holy Spirit — because, God cannot live in a sinful vessel” ?
If that is true, then is it possible that the Spirit was also “known” by men from other countries — “that giveth light to all men in the world” ??

Or is that wrong, because 1 John says “the True light has already BEGUN to shine (when Christ died)”?

  4. Dr. Brown,
    1. You said you have no problem with the Spirit being IN men, under the Law (the bones of Elisha were so anointed that they raised a man from the dead).

    2. You said that the Spirit used to come upon people TEMPORARILY, but 1 Sam 16:13 says
..and FROM THAT DAY ON, the Spirit of the LORD came upon David in power.”

Can you please explain your position, in light of this verse?

  5. Dr. Brown,
If the men knew God (because they knew the Spirit), isn’t that eternal life (John 17:3)? If they had eternal life (by knowing Him), what is the difference, now?

  6. Dr. Brown,
I’m asking questions TO UNDERSTAND; not challenging the faith (the faith that I experienced, and which had the power to change/transform me).

  7. To Debbie Fraser,

Thanks for including the link to your youtube channel. I love your energy and love for God.

  8. Dr. Brown,
Is the “right” to become children of God (J 1:12), the same type of “right” — “birthright” — that Esau forfeited?

Could it be said, then, that a believer can “forfeit” his (birth)”right” (and the right we have when we believe in Jesus is to BECOME children of God)?

  9. One of the callers had a question as to why some things, creatures, or beings were created, God knowing that they would fall into sin and that there would be so much suffering because of it.

I think all of this is about the wisdom of God, his love for freedom, so much so, that though the cost of it was so high, he did not spare his Son, but let him come into this world according to his will, to save the world from sin.

It seems to me that God’s love for freedom was so great. He also loves responsibility, and to show us his great love and salvation to those who will be saved by him.

If we were to list all that we can know about what God loves, just from that one question, how long would it be? What could we put down on the list?

    Freedom
    Responsibility
    Justice and Mercy, his judgment.
    Righteousness
    Instruction in righteousness
    Wisdom
    Instruction in wisdom
    Salvation
    Restoration
    Redemption
    Reconciliation
    Renewal
    Rehabilitation

  10. RE Ezekiel 33:6 and our times. Please pray for me and for Baltimore MD. There are around 100,000 Jewish people living in the metro area. Baltimore’s church is varied and divided. I am weak. God is our only hope. I desire an awakening here, what God has for us is what we need. But we seem distracted, and apathetic. I know that I am too much of the time. Please pray for us. TY Dave

  12. In light of living our lives in light of eternity,
and being people that have answers and stability,
wouldn’t we have to be about the business of judgment, mercy, and faith in light of the ministry of reconciliation, reconciling one another to God whenever there is some type of relationsip problem, some kind of mistreatment going on, some kind of abuse, some kind of work that isn’t right, some kind of injustice, or anything that causes pain, suffering, or confusion?

Isn’t that the kind of work the Lord Jesus is about, right now in the heavenly realm?

    Let’s think about that.

    What’s Jesus doing today?

Israel would not have gone into captivity if they would have been all about doing what’s right, justice and judgment, right? (See Jer 22:3-5)

I wonder how long God would have put off their captivity which was due them because of their idolatry and the sins of the wicked kings.

I’m thinking he would have put it off as long as the people were all about justice and judgment and pleading the cause, doing righteousness, showing mercy when it is due, asking for mercy on behalf of one party to another when it is the right time for it, to relieve the oppressed, deliver people out of the hands of the wicked, and set captives free.

I’m thinking that maybe, God would have forgotten all about going into captivity, if people would have been all about doing that.

What if a church was all about the ministry of reconciliation, and delivering people from whatever is oppression, mistreatment, wrongdoing, and the like?

I think that church would be so full of the live of God they wouldn’t have time to think about revival.

They would be living in the light of the kingdom of heaven, and stability?…(Jer 22:16)
