Dr. Brown Answers Your Questions

[Download MP3]
Are the eternal soul and the resurrection of the body conflicting views? What is the relationship of the new Jerusalem to the old? Dr. Brown answers these questions and more today on Line of Fire!

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: We’ve covered a lot of ground, and I’m reminded for the thousandth time to major on the majors–to put the big things first, to lay the foundations solidly and to build from there, without getting caught up with all the peripherals.

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: While all other voices will prove false, while all other teachings will fall away, the words of Jesus and the person of Jesus will forever remain true. He said, “Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” Lean on Him, believe on Him, trust in Him, and you will not be disappointed.

  1. Dr Brown,
When you see your Dr for your cough, he might just come to the conclusion that you need to rest your voice for a while. Maybe your vocal cords are strained because you may be talking too much. Think about it, you had your ministry for years now which consist of a lot of talking.

That happens to folks who are singers. They need to rest their voice now and then. Too much strain on their vocal cords.

I could be wrong in all this, it is just my guess to explain your coughing. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water too. ๐Ÿ™‚

Please let us all know your Dr results.

  2. Can we just speak to that cough that it be gone in Jesus’ name? Can we just do that all together in agreement?

  3. Dr. Brown,

Have you tried “Throat Coat” tea? It really works wonders for many vocal issues that singers/speakers often encounter!

  4. Dave — I’ve used the Throat Coat tea daily for months (before and during my show) — and you hear the results (or lack thereof). ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks, though!

Ray — amen! Go for it!

  5. Cough, your days seem to have run short. I see no useful purpose for you here on the Line of Fire program. Be gone in Jesus’ name.

  6. I got another revelation of the rapture being pre-trib. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Revelation 13:16,17
โ€œHe causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.โ€

This scripture shows that in order to buy or sell anything during the time the Anti Christ rules and reins on earth you must have the mark of the beast on you. A chip or a mark.

    Revelation 14:9-11
“If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

So, if anyone who receives the mark of the beast will be separated from God from life. Plus, if you do not receive the mark of the beast, you will be killed by the Anti-Christ.

These scriptures I’ve given “puts to rest” any theory of Post-Trib rapture. Because no Christian would be alive on the earth by the time Jesus comes to take up His church. We’d all be dead. What Christian would take the mark of the beast? Think about it.

I had to share this. To great of information to be kept hidden.

  7. 4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

  8. Daniel,

Check this out when you have the chance in regarding Rom 9.

  9. I think the analogy would be…NATURALLY, if you give a dog a choice between turkey meat and a apple, it will always eat the meat; original sin (and if you do not train a dog NOT to bite, naturally it will bite).

*God could surely have no glory in a rigged game

Your understanding of God ‘rigging’ something is not a standard for God! What you understand a robot to be from a worldly phisical mechanical perspective is not what a ‘robot’ would be to God. Even from this surface level these arguments do not holdup. What you know is not synonymous with what God knows, simple as that. I, for one, am happy that God holds everything together.

And of course, if you train a dog to abstain from something like meat, it will bring ‘glory’ to the owner of the dog, no? God does not need to train us to bite, we do that well enough.

  10. “Even from this surface level these arguments do not holdup.” – Bruce

Could you explain more fully what you mean? Honestly you’ve said many things that appear to be responses, but I can’t figure it out.

“I, for one, am happy that God holds everything together.” – Bruce

Will you be happy if God hardens your heart, perhaps as He always intended, and then sends you to hell for eternity?
I believe God operates in justified ways. I believe God is holy. What is possible in your belief of God (sending you to hell because He hardened your heart) is impossible in mine.

Earlier I saw you said “Some folks simply love free will and some folks simply love God.”.
It appears you only love God because you believe you are a special chosen one and are exempt from being banished to hell, just cause. You don’t seem to have a problem with God being responsible for evil, so long as you are a chosen one. That in itself is a great evil. You’ve allied yourself with an imaginary mobster – and you’ve utterly forgotten your neighbor. I do not believe God will be pleased with this error at all.

  11. When I choose an item to buy at the store, I tend to look at the options and the price. I have to make a choice whether it’s something I want or need and if I want to pay the price.

If it’s a tool, I can’t buy all the tools I think I might want to use. Some of them I decide I wouldn’t use very often, and some of them are something I think I would often prefer to use.

I guess it’s up to me to make the choice, to do what I want.

I think God has a purpose for all of us. Some people’s lives have been a testimony of his grace and some people’s lives have been a witness to his anger, his wrath.

God wills that all men would be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.

So how can God choose one for destruction and another for salvation without going against his own will?

I think it has something to do with the choices we have made, and his judgment, whether we will receive of his grace by the way he made for us to receive it, or not.

I think there’s a lot that’s up to us, even though salvation is of God, the work of Christ, and the working of the Holy Spirit.

As far as who God will use for a certain time, or for a certain purpose, that’s up to him just as it’s up to me as to which tool I might decide to use and for which task I want to put it to.

I might even use a cheaper tool to do something. I don’t know why. Maybe there’s something about it I like.

But then there are times when a cheaper tool just won’t hold up to the work I want to do with it.

I might take care of all the tools that I have with the same kind of care, whether they were expensive or not.

Even if I have a tool that I nearly never use, it’s still mine. It might be a specialty tool that nearly never gets used.

Some tools can’t be used for some jobs. The job is simply way above it’s capacity. There are small tools and there are big tools, and some big tools can’t do small jobs.

  12. First, I am downloading the show tonight as I was doing family stuff. I am so sorry to read that Dr Brown is unwell. I pray for a breakthrough with this.

I think that Dr Brown, if I may paraphrase his previous broadcasts on the subject of election etc., does not really try to refute proof texts such as John 6:44 or Romans 9. (Playing Bible PingPong is a waste of time, and the Bible deserves better.) Instead he considers the broad sweep of God’s dealings with mankind across all of Scripture, and considers whether calvinistic ideas are consistent with the way God is in all parts of the Bible. In other words, is the God presented consistent with the way God generally deals with people elsewhere?

Sometimes when proof texts are quoted to him, Dr Brown does the sensible thing and considers the whole chapter or book of the Bible from which the quotation has been extracted. This makes sense as chapter and verse divisions are fairly modern.

(Of course, it’s easy to like the idea of being chosen, if I am one of the chosen ones!)

  13. When it is argued that God doesn’t will contrary to His pre-determined plan (and the statement is made that such an idea would constitute ‘schizophrenia’ in God – humanly speaking) it is forgotten that scripture verse that says ‘why does god still find fault (if he caused me to do this and I could not but fulfill the purpose for which he formed me)’?

The same idea powering god’s heart rending over men and women who reject his kindness (though it was he who made them incapable of accepting him) is the same idea powering paul’s teaching that god finds fault with people who do evil according to nothing except what they were incapable but doing – and is still completely just, since ‘just’ is god getting glory; and him doing this however he would (and he has said that he would make himself known by revealing his wrath and mercy- since these are his attributes which he created all things in order to reveal- and he would do this by making vessels fitted for this singular purpose).

To ignore this is to take the entire idea for something it isn’t: it doesn’t come to the same conclson if understood in any other way. Paul is proven wrong if any other intepretation is used.

I know you said you didn’t want to talk about it on the forum anymore so well talk about this idea on the broadcast.

    Debbie,
remember rev also says the beast makes war against the saints; if they’re gone how the beast make war against them? There are two companies on earth during the time of testing -the woman from rev 12 and the whore from 17. Just as Cain and Abel were two separate ‘companies’. Darkness and light -Isiah has a promisecdor the saints who are one earth at that time: the glory of god sill fos on them.

  14. Daniel,

You mentioned you are not a calvinist. You may not be a 5 point calvinist but it may sound like you support some of the points? Please clarify.

  15. I remeber how God chose Israel, but he was still the God over all people. Anyone who did call upon his name, and feared him as godfearing men of old have done, could have some kind of relationship with him, hopefully a good one. That of course would depend a lot upon the man. But he couldn’t do it without the grace of the Lord.

And I believe it was the unseen Jesus who was at work through the Spirit of God, the spirit of wisdom, whom they did not know as “Jesus”.

But going back to election, I was reminded that God chose Israel, and there was no other group of people ever in history to my knowledge who had seen God so close to a people, or that saw such extraordinary works done by him for their benefit,(as a people group, or nation) that he might keep them for his work that they might be the kings and priests he wanted them to be, that the world might know more of God and receive that light which was in him.

  16. Elohim created angels then mankind/He also created free-will in each/He decreed that each creatures thoughts, motivations, decisions, and actions-would be reality/He is not responsible for eache’s t-m-d-a-(s)….each creature is.

Elohim created angels then mankind/He also created free-will in each/He decreed that each creatures thoughts, motivations, decisions, and actions-would be reality/He is not responsible for eache’s t-m-d-a-(s)….each creature is.JESUS did not die spiritually/then-physically for human-good and evil,(The tree in the garden was not GODS’ Divene-Good and it wan’nt good versus evil, the tree was not Divine-Good and it was also evil/Satan,Eve,then Adam, then each person choses to participate in the tree of “good and evil”,NOT good or evil they belong to the same tree if you will.)… on the tree(Cross).A person cannot be saved-(Be given GOD’S>Eternal-Life,His Perfect-Righteousness by doing or stop doing human-good(human-righteousness),and what makes us think an Eternally-Saved-person can please GOD after Salvation with human-good??…the first is filthy-menstral-rags,the later wood, hay, and stubble. The Eternally-saved by GOD biggest problem after Salvation is not sin,it’s not over-looked by GOD,but, the more devastating is the human-good the Eternally-Saved are participating ignorantly or knowingly still eating from the “tree of good-AND-evil…”greatest good for the greatest number”/”better to vote someone into office to help me be dependent on creatures for my daily bread than the CREATOR”/”lets blame big-business/big-oil etc”/”let us have communism.socialism and the welfare-state”/”let us have religion-(human-work-(s)instead of Divine-Work”

  18. Yes God is only good. There is no evil in him at all. Jesus is light, love, and life. There is no darkness, evil, or anything dead in him. Jesus restores, gives life, is love, and everything good.

  19. Satan is still the permitted god of this world’s policy of good and evil/each person has a sin-nature even after being Eternally-Saved.It has trends toward:sin(1John 1:9/good and evil(John 8:32….the Eternally-Saved need to do alot of unlearning of Satan’s good and evil-policies of the “tree of good AND evil”.Renewing our minds daily with His>Mind of CHRIST(Romans 12)…until we reach the manner/place,and time of each Eternally-Saved’s breath of life is taken back by GOD.

  20. Lerau-L-Lorraine,

Isn’t it eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil the same thing as doing what is right in our own eyes? Isn’t it the same as being our own judge? Isn’t it the same as being our own elohim? Isn’t it the same as deciding for ourselves, instead of humbly submitting to YHWH’s commandments?

If we continue to eat from this tree, are we eternally saved? Is not the the whole of the scripture, even the New Testiment, full of exhortations to return to obeying YHWH? If we continue to go our own way, instead of accepting YHWH’s instructions on righteous living and holiness, how can we really be eternally saved?

    Hebrews 12
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

    Revelation 22
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

If we do not to submit ourselves to the direct statements of YHWH on what is righteous living and what is being truly set apart (holy) to Him, how can we call ourselves eternally saved?

    Matthew 7
21 โ€œNot everyone who says to me, โ€˜Lord, Lord,โ€™ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 On that day many will say to me, โ€˜Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?โ€™
23 And then will I declare to them, โ€˜I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.โ€™

    Shalom
