  1. I think this is a very good illustration of the farce of the anti-messiah soon to come. It looked so good, but it actually only was a metal framework.

  2. The show covered a lot of ground (o:

I appreciated learning more of the lessons of Job (much food for thought there) and the overall reasoned and seasoned perspective.

  3. Working in the broadcast field – specifically at dozens of tower sites- since 1979 – I’ve noted that Christian stations get hit by lightning at about the same rate as heathen stations. The stations with better grounding systems seem to suffer less damage regardless of their spiritual condition.

I’ve thought about this a lot, as I’ve seen many good Christian stations suffer big financial setbacks as a results of what the insurance industry call “acts of God.”

The only conclusion that I have been able to make is that it rains on the just and the unjust. Hey, wait a minute- didn’t I read that somewhere?

  4. Was the statue considered prophetic art? or does the lightning strike make it performance art? Maybe it’s now conceptual art?
or could it be post modernism?

  5. This is precisely why the Israelites were not to have any representations of the creation of land or sea or air. People attatch attributes to inanimate objects. That statue is not Jesus and i’m not freaking out about lightning striking a structure with a lot of metal in it. It was not the antichrist, it was nature.

  6. Does this make the Deists correct in their understanding of God’s interactions with humankind?

  7. With my first two comments I was referring to Isaiah 14:16-19:

“Those who see you will stare at you. They will ponder you, saying, “Is this the man who made the earth to tremble, who shook kingdoms; 14:17 who made the world like a wilderness, and overthrew its cities; who didn’t release his prisoners to their home?”

14:18 All the kings of the nations, sleep in glory, everyone in his own house. 14:19 But you are cast away from your tomb like an abominable branch, clothed with the slain, who are thrust through with the sword, who go down to the stones of the pit; like a dead body trodden under foot.”…

God tells us in advance everything that He is going to do. Let us take heed and not follow the god of this world, since he will come as the illuminated “Jesus” – an angel of light, and everyone will find him adorable.

  8. Nope

Churches , temples, Mosques are destroyed all over history

while some pagan temples remain till now

    this is nocense

no deal to God with this

    its just normal

Jesus statue wasnt destroyed by the will of God

  9. Maybe I am off base on this but doesn’t the Lord tell us in Job that He has nature at His command? Doesn’t He say He sends the lightning bolts on their way and they even report to Him? Job 38:35 What about Jesus demonstrating this with the wind and the waves obeying Him?
