Regarding the Antichrist and the Temple of God: The thing is, even if that movement of Jews in Israel succeeds in building a temple on the Temple Mount, their temple would not be the Temple of God. One would hope that any Christian would recognize that. So, if the Antichrist were to set himself up in that particular temple, it would be no different than if he were to go to Mecca and establish himself there. If the Antichrist sat in a mosque or in a Hindu temple, this would not fulfill the prophecy of Thessalonians. But we know that he is indeed going to sit in the Temple of God. The only possible answer, therefore, is the Church. The Gospel of John goes to great lengths to make it clear that the Body of Jesus Christ is the Temple foreseen by Ezekiel.
