    A video by an Orthodox Jew (I’m assuming they’re Orthodox since the video was at an Orthodox Jewish website http://www.torahcafe.com/immanuel-shalev/tazria-what-do-tumah-and-tahara-mean-today-part-i-video_205d7d44d.html) I watched recently said Tumah didn’t mean “sinful”, “unclean”, or “ritually impure”, but that the only idea that encompassed all of the situations wherein someone could become Tumah was the idea of having “a brush with mortality”.

    Would you agree? How would you define Tumah and Tahor?
