  1. Thanks for talking about discouragement in today’s program. The elections in Canada were a huge disappointment, and I have felt heavy-hearted all day.

  2. We grieve for Canada. PM Harper blessed Israel and, as a result, Canada has been blessed. But if we are indeed in the last days as Biblical signs seem to indicate, according to Zech. 12:3 these things MUST happen. None of these things are catching the Lord off guard. Trust Jesus. Look up!

  3. I will have to listen to this later. I need God’s encouragement right now.

I had a minor disappointment in that my baseball team lost.

And a major one in that I got word from the temporary agency I’m registered with that they had a two day assignment for me. First assignment I would have had in a YEAR. Then and at the last moment they cancelled it on me.

I’ve been unemployed/under-employed for 8 years. Why would God get my hopes up, only to crush me again? Why?

  4. Mo,

I couldn’t help but think of the book of James. It’s not always easy to rejoice sometimes, but it isn’t always so difficult either.

Lord willing, as you continue to seek him, you will find him. Finding his perfect will and walking in it brings us our joy, even though it may have been the thing we have wanted to avoid.
Such is our condition sometimes. And why wouldn’t God be willing for us to find his perfect will? Life is full of tests we must endure, and after we do endure and learn, and prove those things that are truly good, there is a reward.
