Samson is a perfect example of the fact that the anointing of the Spirit can rest on a person even in outright disobedience, but the Spirit will leave the person/people sooner or later. A few churches are also warned that unless they repent their “candle” or “lampstand” will be taken away–disobedience is present, and IF there is no repentance there will be a departure of the Spirit / anointing from those individuals.
