  1. Enjoyed the interview with Ryan Anderson – thanks for having him on. About 18 minutes in, I was a bit stunned by Ryan’s response to the “why doesn’t the government get out of the marriage business and leave it to the state?” He said that society needed both church and state involved because the church “can’t divorce you”.

Well, at least he’s being honest, but it would have sent a much more consistent message if he had said, we need government involved because PAGANS need access to civil divorce. Anything else runs counter to 1 Cor. 6:1-6 and a host of other commandments concerning the indissolubility of original covenant marriage. He has confirmed that there’s no biblical reason the church could not at least begin the process of taking what belongs to God back from Caesar modestly by ceasing to sign civil marriage licenses so that the government is no longer granted what amounts to a warrant to later intrude on the sovereignty of the family at the unilateral behest of one spouse.

  2. I 100% agree with “Unilateral Divorce is Unconstitutional”. It is nothing less than blasphemy for a believer to define marriage as anything other than a sacred covenant ordained by the LORD. This is the biggest problem with the evangelicals. There needs to be a major revival and repentance among the evangelicals. They need to repent for ever believing that a divorce can end a one-flesh marriage covenant. Marriage is one man and one woman for life. God hates divorce and “remarriage” is adultery. No excuses, no exceptions.
