  1. I Cor. 15:49 (‘Tree of Life’ Version) “and just (same) as we have borne the image of the one made from dust…”. Paul’s answer for reason of Job, and all who have lived here since Job, even all before Job, as for ‘suffering’ in this ‘initial only’ life to be lived out in very same likeness of same sinful ‘flesh’ of first Adam (and promised ‘in NEXT

  2. The branches which are grafted onto the Olive Tree have become part of the tree. St. Paul identifies the Israel of God as the congregation of believers, and St. Peter, speaking to gentiles, calls Christians a royal priesthood and a chosen nation. What promised land could there be but the Church of God, where one finds everlasting life? This is the promise given to Israel. Those who are Israelites according to the flesh who have not received the Messiah are yet called to receive him. This calling is irrevocable. This is the only calling which God offers, whether you are Jew or gentile: to believe on the one whom he has sent. There is no other promise except the promise of Heaven.

  3. The ‘fig tree’ became ‘cursed’, the ‘olive tree’ however ‘crushed’ (Messiah ‘of Israel’, Olive Tree voluntarily was ‘crushed’ for us, certainly not ‘cursed’ for us, even though ‘hung upon a tree’, a designed ‘body’ being prepared for Him, from very foundations of THIS earth, now fully perfected in ‘body’, unto NOW ‘ETERNAL in body’ prepared for Him, IN the ‘heavens’, brand NEW, one NEW Man). RCC leads way in refusing ‘to be crushed’, refusing to ‘take up one’s OWN cross’ UNTO ‘entire setting apart’ (ENTIRE drinking of same ‘cup’ of ENTIRE sanctification, FROM this World, & it’s Egyptian like held in slavery wilderness ‘of sin’) instead have taken up ‘the cross’ as if Messiah not “as Moses lifted up the serpent on the pole”, but as a ‘sign’ instead for to ‘conquer’, beginning over their own ‘laity’ following ‘earthy’ priesthood, unto ‘another Jesus’ of different ‘gospel’ by ‘another spirit’ retaining ‘fig tree’ ONLY graftings

  4. The ‘promise of HEAVEN’, by One, & ONLY TRUE Holy Spirit ‘of PROMISE’, was never for ANY to teach, nor for ANY to be ‘believed’, in heart of any man as stated by Paul in Torah: “who shall ascend, that is, for to bring Christ back down here, once again, from above” !

  5. b.j.stone,

If any form of Christianity encourages one to take up his cross, it’s the RCC. I don’t generally hear that from Protestants, who tend to de-emphasize sanctification through suffering, but it’s very much a Catholic teaching.

  6. Luke 9:23,24 Messiah says (opposite to us taking up his cross, which He said in verse 22, He must do Himself) we are commanded to take up ‘OUR own cross DAILY’, unto ‘total separation’ from this world, ‘organizational Universalism’ included, & as ‘Tree of Life’ Version makes plain “what does it profit any man”, should he ‘gain’ the whole wide world (even if thru any, all ‘organizational Universalism of any kind, or that which teaches of gaining of power from ‘HIS cross’, especially for any ‘conquering’ over ‘laity’ as in ‘deeds’ of Nicolaitanism, setting others also apart from real Holy Spirit ‘of Promise’, but thru ‘fear’ power instead, & unto ‘Nimrod like’ winning over of men’s souls back unto first Adam ‘earthiness’) for whomever loses his life for MY SAKE (as ‘last Adam’) unto MY heavenly mindedness ONLY, opposite of ‘first’ Adam, in his ‘earthiness’ mindedness only, will instead ‘save it’, FROM “losing it, or forfeiting of himself” (simply by NOT taking up properly ‘DAILY’, UNTO ENTIRE sanctification, in PERSONAL drinking of that same ‘cup’ of ENTIRE dedication, SUBSEQUENT to one’s own new birth, in being fully ‘set apart’ from this world, also any organizational efforts, including ‘sufferings’, for a fallen first Adam world, ALREADY NOW fully, completely, ‘cursed’ by HIS cross, HIS own shed temporal ‘blood’, HIS own drinking of HIS own cup IN SETTING HIMSELF apart, as our own ‘example’, for us to do ourselves, ONLY reasonably, very same. AS OUR ONLY REASONABLY SERVICE, unto HIM) !

  7. When I think a bit about Paul’s analogy of an olive tree in Romans 11, I wonder if it’s possible to graft in anything without breaking off something.

If in grafting in something, something first has to be taken off, then where is the new thing connected?

Isn’t it connected to the place where the other one was taken from?

Call me crazy if I see the substance of the word “replaced” somewhere, but sometimes that’s what it looks like to me.

Just because something is replaced by something else, does that mean something can never be replaced (where it was before) by taking the place of something that once took it’s place?

If so, can you show me a verse?

  8. Morning Ray,

Good questions. What was broken off can indeed be grafted back in per Romans 11:23-24

23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.

24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

So what was broken off can be re-grafted back in.

Paul goes on to give a great distinction between Israel and Gentile believers in the following verses in connection with Israel’s breaking off and ultimate re-grafting.

25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father’s sakes.

29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

There is so much packed into these verses, but concerning your questions, they tell us that Israel has ‘not’ been replaced, since in the end they will be brought back into the place of blessing. They are going through a temporary time of national hardening concerning the Gospel, but individually are free to join their Messiah.

  9. Israel definitely was ‘set aside’, & as upon this ‘dust to dust’ Planet, according to Paul were to be left down here eventually, after the destruction of their Temple, without ‘root’, neither any ‘branch’) their ‘grafting in’ AGAIN must come from their ‘rising’ up again, from here in their ‘resurrection’ (according to Paul, in Romans, ‘taken from Isaiah’ passages, Ch.59,60). “Life from the dead”, their future being “gathered” from one end OF “HEAVEN to the other” (unlike ‘modern’ catholic world of Jacob’s trouble, ever increasing on this ‘copy’ only, of heavenly ‘dirt’ patterns above, UNTIL these very heavens suddenly on real fire, ending ALL human soul life down here) including grafting back in again those Israelites who ‘fell’ into a life of Esau, who for one ‘morsel’ SOLD his birthright, otherwise as ‘first born’ over Jacob, WHO ONLY will be grafted back in, ETERNAL in ‘resurrection separation’ from the likes of Esau, all Gentiles also, who reject their Messiah Jesus Christ, who out of Zion said (standing on Mount Hermon’s ‘Mt. Sion’): “on this” rock, I will build “MY Church” (given Me by My F-ther, in HEAVEN) & these “gates of hell”, here below, of that PROMISED ‘HARLOTRY’ BUILDUP’, of world wide CATHOLICISM, can never prevail against (UP there ‘in the resurrection’

  10. Benjamin,

It seems to me that so much of Israel was replaced by so many Gentiles, according to what Paul said about the olive tree in Romans 11. However this does in no way say that they will not again be a part of their own olive tree.

  11. Tree of Life Version Romans 11 (vs. 32, ‘for G-d has shut up ALL in disobedience that He might show mercy’ (in resurrection for all) vs. 15 ‘for if their rejection leads to the reconciliation of the world’ (in resurrection for all) ‘what will their acceptance be but LIFE FROM THE DEAD’ (for all human souls suddenly separated from their temporal dust to dust (of this world’s outer tent of FLESH) unto the ‘NEXT world’ of resurrection OF THE FLESH (of different ‘dust to dust’) by which TRIED AND TRUE ISRAEL (WHICH IS FOREVER) from their ‘threshing floor’ of this tiny Sphere were separated as “grain” from it’s ‘tares’ in soul life ending real fires of their places of worship here leaving them with ‘no root, nor branch’ HERE, but are given acknowledgement of those WHO MESSIAH ‘of Israel’ said of them at that time His G-d is NOT the G-d of the dead, BUT “OF THE LIVING” even right now (before going to His ‘own’ cross unto entire dedication, entire sanctification, from the similitude of the ‘sin of first Adam’s fall’ which beset also the Nation of Israel, unto it’s being required first, to go thru real soul life separating REAL FIRE, from first Adam’s “earthiness”, which CLEARLY stated, according also, to Paul in I Cor. 15, brought about his fall, by which G-d raised up the Nation of unique Israel apart from Jews, Gentiles for this tiny ‘footstool’s threshing floor’ fires, and according to II Peter 3 ‘finale’ in entire heavens on REAL fire, the ‘grain’ ACKNOWLEDGED already by Israel’s Messiah AWAITING IN HEAVEN for first resurrection AND all the Gentiles from one end of heaven to the other are brought in) vs. 25 …’the fullness of the Gentiles has come in’ (also in THEIR resurrection of the FLESH making up ‘first’ resurrection) vs. 26 ‘and in this way ALL Israel will be saved’, as it is written a DELIVERER will have come OUT of Zion, this being My covenant with THEM (having turned away ungodliness from Jacob’s similitude of ‘sin of earthiness’ of first Adam in them) all will have then been completed by end of ‘first resurrection’ (the rest of the dead which lived not again unto the end of first resurrection will stand up again also, result of following first Adam’s ‘earthiness’ without ‘taking up one’s OWN
