Totally agree that the biggest risk to the US now is from a rising police state. I gladly take my risks of terrorists attacks if we could have much of the (inside the USA) State surveillance system toned down.
Are we losing our freedoms?
It depends who you are.
The rich owners of Hobby Lobby gained the freedom to impose their religious views on their female employees.
Of course, the lowest paid female employees at Hobby Lobby lost the freedom to make some health-care decisions for themselves.
John Boehner led the most do-nothing Congress in recent memory and now he’s suing Obama to do nothing as well.
The President heads the _executive_ branch. This gives him power to execute the law and run the government.
Dr. Brown knows this, yet he repeats the right wing talking points.
Obama is often called the “Deporter in Chief” by liberals because he has deported far more people than Bush ever did.

Practically everything he has said so far is dishonest.

Greg, I missed you repeating the talking points of the left. You are trying to pull this into a political right vs. left debate and frankly we do not have the time for this. This is a conversation above and beyond the political frame in this country, not that it is not part of it – for it is surely a part of the equation. This is a time in which God must intervene. This is a time in which we will see a Sampson moment- we have crossed into the territory beyond our capacity to fix this politically. Morally we have crossed into this territory- Take your seat on the right or the left, and watch… Before we were even born into this great country God had intervened and this country was destined for his will, I have much faith that we beyond yours or mine capability will again see this destiny fulfilled. We will not need to fire off a shot, and no matter where we are sitting in the amphitheater we will all see it happen.

I have much hope and faith in our future. I will tell you where I sit politically – I would consider myself a tea party type- However, I had an interesting experience 2 days ago when I had at my door the most prominent democrat running for congress at my door (Andrew Romanoff) We had a great conversation and discussed Israel and Jesus. He is Jewish, and I will tell you that our future is actually quite bright. Forget the politics these silly issues will fall by the wayside, what is important is happening right now. What we have in common is bigger than all of us.

Wow you are obsessed with politics! No one lost freedom to make decisions for themselves. They lost the ability to force their boss to pay for things he considers evil. BTW: Any luck finding anyone in the early church who said abortion was acceptable (it is not hard to find it being condemned)? Or are you willing to concede that the church always considered it a sin and it has come into the church from the godless culture.

I can’t believe you. How in the world did Hobby Lobby exec’s impose anything on anyone? That’s way out there. Let the employees make better choices for themselves and not get pregnant if they can’t pay the price for their own abortion. Shouldn’t it be a “last” choice to begin with?! Are you also for having sex before marriage? You’ve never said, that I know of.
I would think as a Christian you’d be celebrating the religious freedom you have to worship 24/7 without fear of Big Brother dictating to you how to go about it and what “you” should believe!

Greg, Hobby lobby approves of 16 contraceptives out of the 19. The only 3 they are protesting are abortive in nature. You are spewing the left’s talking points and not realizing how far out your views are.
