  1. Dr. Brown, you’re right about children. You can sell them on anything. They are so trusting. If you tell them there’s a Santa Claus that can make it around the world in one night on a sleigh pulled by flying reindeer, visiting every dwelling, they believe you. That’s why it’s tragic that they’re being fed such garbage about marriage.

Jesus is coming soon. It can’t go on like this too much longer. We’re in the last of the last days. If I don’t see His second coming, I believe my grandchildren will.

Christians have been saying this since the time of Paul!

  3. I am curious, if there are stats available for the states that have “legalized” gay marriage, what % of marriages are as God ordained vs those that aren’t.

  4. We need governers who will refuse to sign into law anything that is destructive to the community, the people, the state, and then talk to those that promote such destructive things who are in politics, and if they don’t hear him, he should publicly tell the people how corrupt some of their ways are.

It seems to me that one man taking a stand could make a big difference, as long as he’s in the right position.

I believe that’s why government was set up as it was with separation of powers, exactly for such a time as this.

  5. What is it to seek the Lord’s face as we are encouraged to do in II Chron 7:14?

Can we search through the crowd and find him?

Isn’t it him that’s doing all the good in the world, working behind the scenes, changing people’s lives for the better, preparing them for even greater things?

    > While about 30,000 innocent children die of poverty related issues, mostly starvation every day.

  7. Ray,

I would imagine that most governors do refuse to sign bills they honestly think are destructive to their state.

The problem, is that the people the represent don’t always agree on what might be destructive. It’s a struggle inherent in a representative democracy.

  8. (I didn’t hear much of the show today but I heard Dr. Browns open of hour two.)

I found it interesting that he made no distinction between church and state in regards to spiritual revival.

I seem to remember Dr. Brown saying that Christian Dominionism had no part of his show or personal theology. As I remember it, he acted almost confused at his guest’s suggestion that it might be.

Yet, conflation of church and state is a hallmark of Dominionism.

Honestly, the short part of the show I heard today could come straight out of the mouths of the Christian Dominionists I know.

Christians have been saying this since the time of Paul!

Greg, do you think that now we are at 2000 yrs since Paul said this that we may now actually see this?

  10. 2Pe 3:3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Do we really want to say, “Where is the promise of His coming? Christians have been saying this since the time of Paul!”

One thing is for sure. We are closer to the 2nd coming now than our fathers and grandfathers were.

Re 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Lu 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

The choice is ours. We can repent and eagerly watch for Messiah’s return, even if it is not in our lifetime, or we can poo poo the idea and go along with our hell-bent society.

    Shalom

  11. Greg writes: “Christians have been saying this since the time of Paul!”

Of course they have! The imminent return of Christ is scriptural. Jesus encourages such an expectant attitude and speaks to all believers in Matthew 24.

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come… Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh” (Mt 24:42,44).

  12. With all the battles one can very easily get into the mindset that it is a moral competition where you either win or lose. Then the thought came to me “It’s all about truth for truth’s sake”. Keep up the good fight Dr Brown, you’re a champion for the Lord Jesus. God bless.
