  1. I found it curious the Dr. Brown accepts John MacArthur’s assumptions that mysticism is a criticism.

    I believe that Pentecostals are mystics but I don’t believe this is a criticism. I find it one of the most charming thing about them!

    If one rejects Christian mysticism, one rejects a church tradition that goes back as far the church itself. Furthermore, I would argue that revival movements come from the mystical strains of our faith rather than the theological or intellectual wings.

    And not just the church — it strikes to me that most of the OT prophets, John the Baptist and John the Revelator are also in the mystical tradition.

    God made both the left and right sides of our brains and we can worship God with either or both.
