How can we say the Bible is truly inerrant when there seem to be so many contradictions and errors? If Isa 7:14 says the promised child will be named Immanuel, why is he called Jesus (Yeshua) in the New Testament? Is it possible that homosexuality is due to fatherlessness? 1. Dr. Brown mentioned the “Pensacola Outpouring” he was a part of.

Being on the opposite end of the country I was only passingly aware of it, at the time. So, to job my memory, I watched the YouTube videos which are very interesting and moving — I recommend them.

    I’m curious about the legacy.

Dr. Brown — how would you compare the lasting legacy of the Brownsville revival with the historic revivals of Wesley, Edwards, Moody, Azusa Street, and etc?

  2. Greg,

Thanks for the question. It takes decades to evalute something like this, but what we can already see is that there was a large harvest of souls into the kingdom (including backsliders returning to the Lord), the birthing of many churches and ministries, believers being awakened, and what we can personally track, the birthing of a missions movement that has sent out hundreds of laborers to the field. Only eternity will tell.

  3. Greg, I had been in ministry for years before becoming part of the leadership at the revival, but FIRE — our school, missions organization, and church — were all birthed directly out of the revival.
