It’s Friday! That Means You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Answers!

[Download MP3]

A non-charismatic claims that “fire” in the Bible always refers to judgment. Is this true? Theoretically, could a eunuch be a pastor? If salvation is a gift with requirements, what are the requirements? Listen live here 2-4 pm EST, and call into the show at (866) 348 7884 with your questions and comments.

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: As I listen to the calls and read the emails I’m reminded again that there are many hurting people in our world! Let us meet them with the compassion of Jesus!

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: Rather than ask, “What would it take for me to lose me salvation?” better to ask, “What would it take to please The Lord?”

  1. FIRE always refers to “SEPARATIONS” (in “JUDGEMENTS” as a provision in eternality and between individuals AND ENTIRE KINGDOMS) and never to ‘renovative’ or ‘cosmetic temporal changes’ ONLY (like in ‘earthly’ fires of landscapes OR use of application in ANY, ALL false idea of these ‘heavens on fire’ = SAME AS SURFACE terra firma ‘fires of seedtime, harvest below’ these heavens ? )

  2. Dr. Brown,
Thanks for answering my eunuch question, but you didn’t answer that much about whether you thought it could feminize him to the point of being a chemical “female” and therefore NOT be qualified to be the head of a church.

You seemed sort of uncomfortable with the question LOL

  3. The question wasn’t so much about whether a eunuch COULD be a head of a church but whether you thought the resultant feminization would render him chemically feminine enough to be DISQUALIFIED to be a teacher of men (since women are not allowed to be teachers of men).
It is certain that castration CAN and DOES (many times) result in a feminization – what I wonder is whether that feminization could DISQUALIFY him and why. There are some studies that show a link between the ability to critically think and testosterone in males in their 50s and 60s (without it, they may not be able to think as critically).

  4. Dr. Brown,

I am looking for non-liberal Bible commentary. What do you think of the World Bible Commentary in terms of orthodoxy? Any other suggestions?

  5. Dr Brown:
Thank you so much for answering my question. I think I see the distinction you are making now, Between apostasy, and backsliding. thank you for your clarification
