[Download MP3]

Dr. Brown shares some important Middle East updates and then reviews some fascinating myths and facts about the Jewish people, their customs, and their literature. He’ll also take your Jewish-related calls. Listen live here 2-4 pm EST, and call into the show at (866) 348 7884 with your questions and comments.

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: It is because God has called the Jewish people as His own, it is because God has promised to keep them even while disciplining them in His judgment and it is because of that, that Satan has filled the world with lies against the Jewish people.

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: Let’s remember what Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 3, “A ministry written in stone was glorious but how much more glorious is the ministry that comes by the Spirit of God!”

  1. Dr. Michael Brown,

Do you have advice or guidance for me as I witness to a Jewish friend (going strong for over a year now) in regards to explaining the Trinity. They are so open to everything I have been showing them, but get stuck on the Trinity. They dont understand it and also ask why God just does’t do it all as the Father. Why the Son and Holy Spirit? (is what they ask). I appreciate any help in things to show them or share with them to get over this stunbling block.

    Thank you Dr. Brown,
    -Benjamin

  2. The kingdom of heaven is governed by God the Father, his Son Jesus, and the holy Spirit.

The Father himself, Jesus his Son, and the gift of the holy Spirit are three that a Christian should always trust and depend upon, for they will never fail, never fall, and never sin.

They will always endure, always be faithful, always be holy, just, right, and good. These three will always be true.

In the beginning before anything was, there was God, the Son, and the Spirit of God.

I think every Christian should know this much.

  3. Thanks Dr. Brown.

I have volume 1 only at this time. I’ve been showing them texts from the Tenakh that show the trinity or other duality texts. They just don’t understand why God would do it that way.

I’ll see what I can do about Vol.2 of your series.

Ray, amen. Every Christian should know that much specially if they are baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. But the person I am witnessing to is not a Christian and the trinity concept if very confusing for them. I think one of the big issues for them is that they just don’t want to accept it even though the text supports it. And primarily because they were taught Jews don’t believe in Jesus and to do so would mean facing possible rejection from their family. So I asked, to seek any helpful approaches which might get them thinking maybe from a different perspective than I have been sharing with them already.

    Thanks my friends,

    -Benjamin

  4. Though I know the Trinity is three in one, would it be safe to say that as a human is comprised of 3 parts being body, soul, and spirit yet one being, we are created in the image of God who is also 3 parts yet one?

  5. John, funny you say that because I used that as an example of one being three and it helped, but not to get over that hump. I need to spend more time on that topic with them (the Tri-unity of God) since most of our time has been on atonement and prophecies.

I’ll probably pick up a copy of Vol.2 soon of Jewish Objections to Jesus for those 70,000 words 😉

  6. The idea of comparing the Trinity with a human being falls short as a good example in that it identifies three persons operating in complete unity, having the same essence and nature; while the essence of the human being is made up of three, yet there is not complete unity with the body, soul, and spirit. By nature, our flesh wars against our spirit, and these are contrary to one another; while within the confines of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), they are always in agreement with one another.

    Shalom

  7. Thanks Brian. Very true.

The example wasn’t so much to show equality between the examples of body/soul/spirit and Father/Son/Holy Spirit. It was just to show that one thing can exist in complex ways, more than one component to the whole.

It helped to get them thinking since folks typically don’t consider that we are complex beings. Not considering that our minds control our brains. Most think our brains are our minds. So it’s just something interesting to get people thinking outside of the box.

I’ve even discussed the three aspects of water. Vapor, liquid and Ice. Our conversations have been very interesting and fun. They ask great questions!

(referring to my friend as they/them so as not to identify them in any sense)

  8. Benjamin, Here’s an angle you might want to try,

Ask them if Jesus compares well with the Father in their opinion. How does he rate in their opinion as compared with God?

From what we can know from the Bible, Did Jesus love as well as God loves? I believe that he did and still does. Was he as serious about the things of God as we know that God is? I believe that he was and still is.

Right now I look at Hosea 9:10, (KJV) and think about the time Jesus came to the fig tree.

  9. I think it would be absolutely fascinating if you could get Rabbi Dovid Weiss of the Neturei Karta, Jews against Zionism on your show to discuss all these different views he seems like a very friendly intelligent person.
    Or perhaps do a debate.

  10. I am not in any way a “replacement” theolgan but also how can “ALL” Israel be saved when not “all” Israel will believe in the end ?? Just like not “all” really believed in the Exodus and God destroyed them.
    ROMANS 9
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

  11. It seems to me that the only way “all” of anybody could be saved, is if somebody shows up that has all understanding, all patience, all wisdom, all knowledge, all forbearance, all longsuffering,.. all the fruit of the Spirit, and all the word of God,…one Jesus by name.
