Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: Gentile believers need to remember the mercy that came their way through Israel and to pour out mercy on my people, The Lost Sheep of the House of Israel, that we may turn back to God as well.

  1. Dr. Brown,

Re: “Was Joshua a Gentile and what do you think of him ‘leading’ the ‘World-Changer’ [i.e.: leaders] Jews?”
Dr. B: “He wasn’t Gentile; no one thinks he was.”

You were right; I’d listened to this broadcast (called “Torah Pearls”) to understand the Karaite position – the exact espisode was @ http://www.truth2u.org/2012/07/nehemia-gordon-keith-johnson-pearls-from-the-torah-portion-masei-numbers-331-3613.html – wherein CALEB (not Joshua)’s being of Gentile lineage assigned to a certain tribe was discussed.

    Therefore:
    i. I was wrong in thinking it was a ‘Rabbi’ that I’d heard it from (Karaite = non-Rabbinic), and
ii. I was wrong in thinking it was ‘Joshua’, as you’d made clear (it was Caleb).

I wasn’t really ready to ask you any ? or even be on the air; I’d told the guy I didn’t really want to be on the air, but if he could please just pass you a note about my request re: George Kouri – however, he put me on hold to go on the air, so I didn’t want to “abandon”/disappoint.
I’d had a ? re: Hb 6:4 vs Ga 4:19,5:4/Ro 11:23 but I heard “Thoroughly Jewish Thursday” over the phone’s radio sound, and I tried to remember a Jewish-related question I’d had some time in the past – resulting in asking an uninformed question.

I kind of feel like I was “caught off guard” and sort of feel a little embarrassed. Yes, I am trying to explain the situation. I also wasted some air time deliberating. I didn’t even want to be on the air.
