  1. –I was listening to your comments on the Line of Fire radio show, here in Houston, Tx. about the Pierce Morgan/ Rick Warren interview and as to the question about whether or not we should ammend the Bible since some things like stoning someone to death is not longer practiced. My answer to Pierce would have been that at that time the moral law hung over the people as the “COMPLETE AUTHORITY” and its demands (DEATH-the shedding of blood to atone for the breaking of the law) had not been satisfied. When Jesus did satisfy the demands of the law, now, the moral law does not hang over us as a “COMPLETE AUTHORITY”. JESUS DOES. Therefore, grace from JESUS CHRIST hangs over us(gen grace for all including the unbeliever as well as specific grace in addition to gen grace for the believer). THe demands of the moral law, the payment to the moral law by Jesus, and grace and truth that comes from Jesus Christ , altogether, reign over us now that Jesus is risen and now has highest authority over all things. Seeing what the law demands(even still today as back in Moses’ time, helps us to appreciate what GOD gives through Jesus (still today as back from the time he DIED on the cross). EVERYTHING IS NOW TODAY AND WILL STILL BE NOW TOMORROW. THEREFORE, the historical truth of Moses’ times remind us of what the law has to offer(condemnation), still today since it STILL demands Death for sin, and what Jesus has to offer STILL today since the day of his death for evermore going forward, COMPLETE AUTHORITY OVER THE LAW SINCE HE HAS FULFILLED THE LAW’S DEMANDS FOR EVERMORE. BOTTOM LINE. The bible is GOD’s perfect, complete , and forever truth and should never be amended as it is not needed. Truth is always Truth! Now, getting Pierce to listen till I finished this complete statement, a different thing altogether!.

  2. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Piers Morgan would go that ultimate step in actually using his influence to lobby for changing the words in the Bible. When he first came on the scene, I was charmed by this articulate Brit and felt his success was deserved. But in interview after interview, it soon became clear that Mr. Morgan was using his bully pulpit to sway his audiences to the far left of the spectrum, and disgusted, that’s when I stopped tuning in.

Yet the effrontery to seriously pose the idea of rewriting the Bible amazes me nonetheless!

When I read that Mr. Morgan had accepted an invitation to party at the Playboy Mansion in L.A. some time ago, I realized that this quote “family man” unquote was willing to wink at pornography and all the turpitude that the Hefner empire embodies, though in his piece Morgan did describe a scene reminiscent of Caligula, from which he departed early. Now I know beyond a doubt that he has thoroughly sold out to the popularity of the gay rights movement, and I think he expects that riding that wave will cause his own popularity to crest along with it.

I hope the backlash will in fact be something Mr. Morgan will truly feel. I know the petition on the “We The People” website to have him deported back to the UK won’t result in an actual move, but I do hope that pressure can be brought to bear nonetheless to pull him down. We don’t need more morally-clueless cheerleaders out there hastening our slide into national decay.

I agree that we should pray that he will genuinely repent and that God will save and fundamentally transform his lost soul.

It’s still a sad, sad day in American history.

Very, very good show today, btw, exploring all the angles.
