Check out the most interesting news items of the weekend today with Dr. Brown on the Line of Fire!

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: We can point out the hypocrisy of many of the protesters, and of many of those in government and corporate America. We talk about greed, but how about searching our own hearts? Are we living in the light of eternity?

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: Let us be people of the Word of God. Let us know what we believe and why we believe it. Let us be devoted to God and His word in such a way that the world, the Mormans, and everyone will know what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

It’s May 21st: My Interaction with Harold Camping’s Ministry VOR Article by Marcus French: On March 9th, I contacted Harold Camping’s ministry, Family Radio, about getting someone from their organization to come onto the Line of Fire with Dr. Michael Brown to discuss the May 21, 2011 apocalypse prophecy they were putting forth. 1. Heard just a few minutes of your show today and there’s a correction that needs to be aired so that you can maintain credibility with your LDS listeners. The gentleman said that the Mormon Church began as “The Church of God”, then the name was changed to “The Church of Jesus Christ”, then “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints”. These are nitpicks but I know your LDS listeners will respect you for correcting them. The LDS Church began as “The Church of Christ” in 1830, then it as, The Church of the Latter Day Saints in 1835 and 4 years later, it was “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints”. The interesting fact of the matter is that, for 4 years, they did not have the name of Jesus Christ in the name of their church in spite of the fact that they claim that the true church must be named after Jesus Christ. I do think it is essential that you have an expert on Mormonism join you as co-host when you have a show on this topic. I belong to a network of counter cult apologists who specialize in Mormonism, any one of which, including myself, would be happy to participate with you. You may contact me at 727-667-4112

  2. I just read your article.
I get angry how the enemy takes a reality, the corruption in the church, and stretches it to portray them as the church of the devil, as always, the lack of holiness in the church makes people sitting ducks for the strategies of the enemy. But even though there is leaven in the church, Mormonism is a complete departure from biblical faith and has nothing to do with the historical Jesus of Nazareth.

Considering the name of their Bible is “Another Testament of Jesus Christ”, I find it amazing how Galatians 1:8 says, “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you another testament contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!”
I think that applies equally to Mormonism and Islam, as both had an angelic revelation start their movements.
