Dr. Brown Interviews Chad Thompson and Steve Parker, Both of Whom Came out of Homosexuality

[Download MP3]

What does it mean to be “ex-gay?” Is change really possible? Don’t miss today’s show, where Dr. Brown interviews Chad Thompson and Steve Parker about their journeys out of homosexuality.

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: As the human race we are created in the image of God, yet every one of us is hurting, fallen, and broken, in need of repair. Jesus shed the same blood, and has the same transforming power for homosexual and heterosexual alike. Do not sell the love and the power of God short!

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: To repeat the words of my guest, God changes people! If you are a person, whatever is going on in your life, whether you were born a certain way, developed a certain way, wherever you are today, God changes people. The blood of Jesus was shed for people, and if you are a person, you are a candidate for change.

Gay Theologian to Ex-Gays: “Repent!”

VOR Article by Marcus French

In some incredibly twisted logic, a “theologian, seminary professor, and ordained minister” named Patrick Cheng posted an article on Huffington Post entitled ‘Ex-Gays’ and the Ninth Circle of Hell in which, as Randy Thomas of Exodus International (one of the “ex-gays” Cheng is describing) describes, “he basically said that ex-gays were going to hell and […]

An Italian Pop Singer and Public Debate

VOR Article by Marcus French

A remarkable event happened earlier this year in Italy… a pop singer bucked the cultural norms that say that gay and lesbian individuals cannot change their sexual orientation, and made a public statement in support of ex-gay individuals, all on national television. Roberto Marchesini shares this intriguing story here, and it is well worth a […]

Chicago Exodus Conference Draws Protest

VOR Article by Marcus French

In response to an Exodus International conference happening in the Chicago area on July 14th, the Gay Liberation Network will hold a protest (see the poster for the protest here) outside the event, declaring: Exodus International is the nation’s foremost organization claiming to use Christianity to turn LGBT people into “ex-gays.” And while they say […]

  1. I can’t download this yet, but what comes to mind is that those who have been forgiven the most will love him the most, and those that love Jesus the most should be the closest to him.

  2. Dr. Brown,
    NICE!

Have you heard of ‘Passion 4 Christ Movement’ in L.A.?
They have a homosexual outreach with many former homosexuals, and experience in this particular area of ministry — check’em out! Maybe you could have one of them on the show (ministers AND/OR “ex-homosexual”s [they wear shirts to proclaim to the world the various sins they have been delivered from by Messiah]).

    🙂

  3. Dr. Brown, thank you for your sensitivity and for praying for the mother who called in about her daughter. I cried out to God together with you – and I pray the Peace of the Lord Jesus to engulf her and the Love of Christ breakthrough to her daughter right now. May God bless you and your guests. In Christ all things are possible!

  4. I have same sex attractions and am married and I love my wife. I have found Jesus to be so powerful it overtakes my same-sex attractions and actually found out that I don’t want sex with guys. Just because I am attracted to them does not mean I want sex with them. After the last experience with a guy, I found out Jesus had somehow removed the desire for sex with guys! I could hardly believe it! But I really faced myself and realized I have still have same sex attraction but it does not have the power anymore. I love sex with my wife and I put my attraction to guys in the same place I put overeating, slothfulness, slander, gossip and other appetites. I have a big problem with fat Christians telling others that same sex attractions are so bad you will go to hell and yet feed their mouths and get hugely and grossly fat. Once I see fat Christians become real and “come out” I will listen to them as they counsel us to get rid of the same sex attractions. I probably won’t come out, for I know the power of God to overshadow me on a day to day basis.

  5. It seems to me that Christians might suffer attacks from Satan concerning sexual attractions
that are not from God, whereas they used to have them.

When Christ is in us there is always emnity against the darkness.

If we serve sin, no matter what kind it is, Satan can gain an advantage over us, whether in the mind or the soul, or somewhere in our physical body, but he won’t abide with the Christian forever. Jesus will.
