The Role of Prayer in Awakening

[Download MP3]
Dr. Brown puts forth a call to live a lifestyle of prayer in order to see God move in our nation, and shares examples of the role of prayer in past awakenings.

Hour 1:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: If we ask, seek, and knock, God will answer, respond, and open the door. He will fill the hungry, satisfy the thirsty, and fulfill His promises, and God often saves the best for last. Let us believe Him for the greatest awakening in America’s history!

Hour 2:

Dr. Brown’s Bottom Line: God hears the cries of the righteous. Let the cry rise to heaven from the depth of your being. Cry to God with all of your soul: the cry for awakening, the cry for revival and visitation. Our God will answer by fire!

Clear the Way for Prayer! VOR Article by Bryan Purtle

“Pray without ceasing….” -1 Thess. 5.17 The apostles of Scripture, basing their lives on the pattern left by Jesus, gave themselves unreservedly to a life of prayer, and they called the saints to enter into the same reality by the grace of God. They knew that it was only by entering into the place of […]

  1. Confirmation, Confirmation. I love Confirmations.

I’m about to film a show in another hour. It will be called “Living For God” Anyways the Lord has put it strong on my heart to talk about Revelation 3:14-16. The church of Laodicea. Jesus was telling the church it is Lukewarm. He prefers that we are Hot or Cold.

The reason why I am explaining all this is because Dr Brown mentioned on his radio show that we are the church of Laodicea today. (More or less.)

This is just a Confirmation from the Lord that I need to speak this teaching about HOT, COLD, and LUKEWARM.

We need to be Hot or Cold for Jesus. I got the revelation of the meaning of being Hot or Cold. You wanna know it??? Watch on you-tube. I’ll have it up around Sat. afternoon.

I love hearing that reverent prayer from those little kids who were praying to the Lord.

    Acts 2:17
‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

  2. Dr. Brown,
I was listening to your program today and you played the children praying. Man…I was in tears immediately. You said it, it was like a fresh sweet drink of the holy spirit. I would like to play those recordings for my family and friends. Is it possible to get a copy of those recordings.
I have been listening to you for two or more years and you have blessed me beyond words. Thank God for you my brother and thank God for God.

  3. Daniel,
Cold doesn’t mean what you think it does. Hot or Cold is a good thing. Jesus was telling the church of Laodicea He wants the church to be that way. He does not want us to be lukewarm.

Please, please click onto my name come Saturday around 1:00pm ET. I explained what it all means. It will take just 10 mins out of your life to listen. Then you can turn it off after that. 🙂

This message is what the whole body of Christ needs to hear. Myself included.

  4. To get hot, don’t we need to get into the center of the fire? Doesn’t that mean that we need to be closely connected with other Chrisitans? Isn’t that usually a local church?

Don’t Christains usuall burn out when they get disconnected from other Christians, just like when
pieces of wood get separated from each other and from the center of what’s going on, whatever it is that God is doing?

So how does an entire church get disconnected from each other spiritually? Maybe they still met together, but the Word seemed to be less interesting to them. Maybe they settled for something less. Maybe nobody wanted to talk about the Word anymore like they used to. Maybe they found interest in other things.

Maybe the Word needs to be at the center and everyone needs to interact with it and each other.

Maybe there’s something from the Word that they were not doing. Maybe as a Church they were supposed to be about something that they were not doing, something from the Word, something where there would be spiritual interaction with people, something where people get fired up.

It seems to me that wherever there is trouble between people, that right there is an opportunity
for the Word to have it’s way…But who’s there to be there in the center of all that, and get into the Word, right there, where all the trouble is?

Where is the intercessor? Why isn’t he there?

Where’s the brotherhood that is willing to go right into all the trouble? Where’s the two or three that will walk right into a thing when there is some trouble between people, and get involved with the work of reconciliation?

  5. thanks whoever is praying for me; I understand one step more now! (salvation is by faith in Him alone)
