  1. I hate what our society has become.I believe were at a point of no return unless God intervenes. The churchs in this country have become worldly. The true followers of the Lord are a very small minority.
I am surprised That God has not poured down his wrath on our society already.Maybe God will have to bring the people to thier knees, because they won’t go willing or now.

  2. Along the lines of this show, I just want to point out a very demonic teaching that has infiltrated the Christian belief system. I had a very heated debate with an evangelist just the other day about end-time events. He believed that sin and sinner will run more and more rampant in the world the closer we get to Christ’s Second Coming. I concurred to him I know that there are churches that preach exactly that, but it is a false belief that has no supporting Biblical scriptures to that effect. He then cited this verse…

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14

Meaning to him, that more people will be lost than saved. I told him that in certain time periods of our earth’s history that was and probably now is definitely the case, but Christ has also reveals to us the prevailing spiritual situation that will exist right before His Second Coming, and I cited these verses…

The parable about the ten virgins…

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Matthew 25:1-2

Those that were taken vs. those that were left behind…

I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Luke 17:34

The first two situations represent everyone who’s living right before His Second Coming. You are either saved or lost. I told him to consider the percentage of the saved virgins vs. the lost ones. It’s 50 percent! Again, considering the ones that were taken vs. the ones that were left behind, again it’s 50 percent! We have billions of people on earth right now. That means 50 percent of billions of people will be saved! No! Righteousness, NOT evilness, will prevail right before Christ’s second coming in the world.

Look at the cry of “peace and safety” that will be sounded…

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1 Thessalonians 5:3

Again, people are not going to cry “Peace and Safety” unless there is actually peace and safety everywhere. It is not that way now, but it will be right before Christ’s Second Coming in the world.

    Now examine this Divine declaration…

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Revelation 11:15

I asked him, “How are the kingdoms of our world to become as the kingdoms of our Lord and Savior if righteousness does not prevail in them?”

So can you not see how demonic that belief is about evilness to prevail in the world right before Christ’s Second Coming? It makes Christians sit back and do nothing because that false belief tells them that the prevailing evilness everywhere is actually a good thing for it means that Christ’s Second Coming will happened very soon. That’s sooooo demonic, and it was preach to me all my life!

    One More Comment…

Regarding Luke 17:34, you would want to be of those that were left behind, not taken! Those that are taken are the ones who will be involved in that sudden destruction cited in 1 Thessalonians 5:3. The sixth plague cited in Revelation 16:12. It’s the third woe cited in Revelation 11:14. They are the tares that the harvesting Angels of God collect first cited in Matthew 13:30.

For in the end, this verse will stand!

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. Psalm 1:5

  3. You said it, Pamela!

And good point about the “taken” in Luke’s gospel. The “taken” are not part of some secret “rapture”, but are taken in the same sense as the evil people in Noah’s day were taken – to destruction!

  4. People are coming to Christ in great number in other parts of the world. But sin is running rampant in our country and few are turning to the Lord.

  5. Of course sin is growing out of control. Instead of Christians judging the sinners, instead evangelize to them. Whining and complaining and gossiping about the world’s sin is not going to save them. Jesus came to save those who are lost. Jesus preach and hung out with the sinners.

Have a heart for them. Hell is real. Jesus loves these sinners. He does not want them to perish. Let your light shine. We need to tell them about Jesus.

Humble yourselves. Love them the way Jesus loves them. The Lord gave us eyes to see not to judge but to pray or to help them.

Satan is getting away with murder and it is the church’s responsibility to do something about it.

My heart goes out to the ones perishing.

Lord use me to help those who are perishing. Let me be your a vessel.

    Matthew 9:37
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

  6. Dr Brown,
I am glad that you brought up about that TV show “Skins” which is on MTV. I actually never heard about it before. I have a 15 yrs old son. It just breaks my heart to see what is happening among the kids today.

My question is. Where are the parents in all this? Why don’t they care?

    Blessings.

  7. Pamela,

Would you like to join us in the “end times theology” forum?

There are several ways to interpret Luke 17.

One concerns the destruction of Jerusalem in 70ad. And, just as true, it can refer to the end of all things spoken of in Revelation.

  8. Does anyone remember the discussion and outrage of violent video games, maybe fifteen years ago? And as Dr. Brown pointed out, they are much, much worse today. Psychiatrists noticed how it affected the children’s behavior and they did, in fact, link it to children acting out that violence. But, then, the defenders of these games, the same ones who designed and promoted them stepped in and silenced the outrage under the guise of their being “within their constitutional rights” to produce these toxic products. And what happened? The outrage subsided… “Oh yeah, well, I suppose they do have the right to do that.” But, now, Neurologists have shown that the parts of the brain that are stimulated in the area that produces endorphines and that euphoric high, that the brain naturally responds to, is so lit up in the MRI’s that it takes more and more stimulus to produce the release of these endorphines within the pleasure center of the brain, that it is no different than a drug addict that needs more and more of the substance they are using to get that euphoric high that they come to crave! In short, they are addicted to the pleasure of winning! The same with poker machines and all the gaming and gambling that goes on in Vegas. I wish it would “stay in Vegas” and not come into the homes of children. I don’t have any children, but, I have many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews that I love just as much.

We have given up our outrage and barometric gauge taken from the Word of God and the letters in the Scripture over to the letter of the Constitution. Let’s face it, even the Church holds up the Constitution and our founding fathers to the level of the Apostles and the Word of God. Our Constitution, as wonderful a document as any other country holds, is not equal to the Scriptures! If we think all of it is taken directly from the Bible, you may want to read the attachments by way of the many declarations and bills that have been added to it over the years since it’s conception. They don’t look anything alike. Would our founding fathers have “ever in their wildest dreams” given a Corporation the identity of a “person”?! How many people make up a Corporation? I think it only has to be “more than one” to qualify. And where there are 20, 40, 100 individuals within any particular Corporation, what is their sole purpose but to increase profits, usually at any and all expense of “conscience” and “moral obligation”.

Concerning literally buying into the system… Do any of us know where our money is going, or, to whom, when we give over a part of our present earnings for our future security to Stock Brokers investing in the Pollutted Well of the Stock Market? Two years ago, everyone, Christians included, were in a panic, wringing their hands for fear of loosing their life’s savings when the Stock Market faultered. That should have been a shot across the bow that “everything that can be shaken” has begun to “be shaken”. Wealth is not a sin. Abraham was said to be a wealthy man. But, Abraham paid as he went, and did not take “gifts” from others, but, rather, he paid for what he “owned”. We are at the mercy of others who can rightly say, “we have made such and such rich” by our unscrupulous investments. So, it seems it has become appropriate these days to sell out our moral principles and our consciences for the sake of upholding our Constitution and for making lots and lots of money. The love of money is said to be the root of many evils. And so it is. So, what do we do? Well, we don’t have to pull out of the market and watch our economy crumble into dust. But, we can “follow the money” trail to see exactly where it is being invested. Don’t invest in anything that operates in opposition to your moral compass. Don’t buy into worldly investments that only further the degradation of our society. Don’t buy the things that you know are not holy or good. Don’t expose your children, or, nieces and nephews, or, other family members to what you know is not condusive to healthy spiritual growth. You don’t have to become hermits, or, stick your heads in the sand, otherwise we won’t know what’s even “out there”, but, we can become more discerning and selective in those things we support, even if it means support by de facto acquiescence where it is in opposition to our beliefs. We can turn off the television and start writing letters again. There is no affirmative action when there is no longer any opposition or cry of moral outrage coming from those of us Christians who still have a conscience to prick.

And don’t even get me started on Politics. We’ve compromised our Kingdom Standards in buying into the false assumption that one is better than the other because we don’t do our homework in searching, no matter where they be found—for the best candidate. Here is a perfect example of what I’m talking about and then, I won’t say anymore right now because I should probably cool off before picking up with how to engage society without loosing our moral compass. I hope you’ll think about this article written by the pastor of a church concerning choosing the right candidate according to Kingdom Standards. Here is an excerpt and I’ll provide the link to the entire article:

“Back in 1996, there were two men in the runoff for our U. S. Representative: Francis Thompson and John Cooksey. The Christian Coalition’s “Voters’ Guide” subtly favored Dr. Cooksey. This was very odd. Dr. Cooksey, a physician who had never held elective office before, was not completely committed to the pro-life cause. Whereas, Francis Thompson was one hundred percent pro-life and had a voting record of well over ten years in the Louisiana legislature to prove it. Furthermore, State Senator Thompson was an Evangelical, an active deacon in a Presbyterian Church in America congregation.

“So why did the Christian Coalition word the “Voters’ Guide” to favor Dr. Cooksey over Senator Thompson? There was only one reason: he was a Republican, and Senator Thompson was a Democrat.”

  9. Sheila,

Thanks for the invite! But out of consideration for Dr. Brown’s network disk space, I rather not get involve in long drawn out debates. I like to state my opinion and then move on to the next topic.

  10. I’m not that familiar with computer language. I’m thinking that they removed and dumped their older broadcasts to make room for the new. (?) As I noticed many not available anymore.

Should we worry about discussing things too much?

  11. Sheila,

Yes, removed, likely not “dumped”, but archived. With all the people and stuff in the world, what would we do without computers? Maybe divide up and actually have to relate 1:1 close to home?

  12. I think Dr. Brown and group should go over the existing forums, topic by topic–where such have any longetivity, anyway. After reading, and editing remarkable interchanges, perhaps compile some of the better ones. Fire then could come out with a book, like, “God’s Common Denominator and Deliberations with Doubt,” or some other slant on what goes on here linking contributors and expanding such deliberations to connect with a wider readership.

  13. Now there is a novel idea! “Maybe divide up and actually have to relate 1:1 close to home?” But, then I wouldn’t get to talk to you.

  14. Tom and Pamela,

Yes those that are taken are the wicked. 50% of virgins looks like 50% of the professing believers, not 50% of the whole world if it is permissible to deconstruct a parable to that degree. (Wich I kind of doubt.) The one shall be taken and the other left does not seem to be about percentages, but seems to be that you are either His or you are not. You are righteous or you are not. There are many other passages of scripture that would seem to point to much less than 50%. In other words, times up…you have no more time to join the right group.

    Revelation 22
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Also in Revelation there seem to be quite a few more taken than left.

    Shalom

  15. Debbie,I agree we should all reach out to the lost.
Don’t you think saying people are whining, complaining and gossiping,is a bit jugdemental and hateful and can be hurtful?
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.proverbs 15:1.
As you wrote “let your light shine”

  16. Hey Bob,
What can I say. My dad is 100% Italian and my Mom is 100% Irish. The result of that mixture is ….meee.

Forgive me if I offended anyone.

  17. Jay,

I really like this quotation by you. I hope you don’t mind I copied and kept it. Of course I will attribute it to you! Thanks for these words.

    Peace.

“Outrage without commitment to care and light a candle, instead of cursing the darkness, is outrage of no consequence.”
