  1. I, for one, so needed to hear those words of encouragement! I often need to remove myself from the bombardment of negativism into the Psalms. David was a man who had to deal with the same things we do, but, he maintained his integrity by retreating to commune with the Lord. He was strengthened by renewing the bond he had to the Rock of his, and our, foundation.

Very uplifting and timely words, Dr. Brown!

    Psalm 62

A psalm of David. My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.

Psa 62:6 He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

Psa 62:7 My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

Psa 62:8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

And my favorite verse that I repeat often:

“Be still and know that I am God…”
