The Muslim world has become expert at victimizing itself against the percieved “injustices” of the west. I find it laughable that one of the smallest nations of the world, consisting of the most persecuted population of refugees that history has ever known (Israel), has somehow managed to highjack the agenda of the US and Europe, and plot against the poor muslim population of over a billion followers worldwide. The Political Islamic movement has positioned itself squarely into an influential leadership role in the UN, where it can play on the western left’s heartstrings and control the political message. As soon as I watched the video (of the Israeli ship boarding parties)on the internet, it was obvious that the Israeli soldiers were began beaten to a pulp! Thank goodness they fought back.
The left, lead by Obama, is playing with fire in allowing the muslims free reign to propagandize against Israel. Personally, I believe the Communists threat of the Cold War was chicken feed compared to the threat we’re facing from the Islamic juggernaut. The west has no idea what it’s facing. If someone didn’t see the proproganda for the hamas organization coming then they must be in a cave somewhere. I’m sure the IDF didn’t use force until their own lives were at stake. I teach self-defense tactics for the U.S. Military and abroad, and I can tell you the IDF uses extreme caution and restraint as oppose to say fatah or hamas…… Again let’s pray that the Lord Jesus will open the hearts and minds of the arabs living in gaza and the west bank. I hope the PM of Israel doesn’t back down on this issue in regards to the use of force needed was due in part to defend one self or others. Blockade away, Israel. Continue to use active defense strategies against those who hate you and those who now openly support and supply those who so hate. We notice that shifts toward intolerance are happening in what were once tolerant Islamic and European nations; new alliances of contempt are occurring very rapidly. Israel must continue its vigilance and raise a guard over threats now supplied by those with whom it has few or no ties (as well as over those with whom it had past relationship).
Shifting regional attitudes continue among those once accepting of the roles of the western nations upholding standards of civilization. Will Psalm 83 or Zech 12 come into the picture to next present what’s really happening?
Maritime law dictates that if you are in a civilian vessel and you are boarded by a clearly marked military vessel, even in international waters, you allow them to board and search. As soon as the Israeli’s got aboard a number of the ship’s passengers or crew started assaulting them. Turkey is going to send warships with the next flotilla. With the tensions high between Israel/Iran/Turkey we could be on the brink of a major conflict. Pray for us all in that situation.

What is even more riveting is the statement that the Turkish government will now facilitate more so-called peace activist ships coming into the Gaza area, and accompany this action with Turkish war ships. I mention this as another indicator leading toward Psalm 83….until most recently, a seemingly far off prophetic event (recall that NATO and US forces used to stage from Turkey, and Israel has done joint military training maneuvers with Turkish forces in the past, recently cancelled by Turkey over this blockade interaction).
As for a “two state solution”, both have claims on Jerusalem as Capitol, and a very different regard of Mt. Moriah’s purpose (Israel’s being tied to a prophetic promise given to King David and Moses). An Israeli victory over the events of Psalm 83 can lead to a season of its people dwelling “without walls….peaceably in the Land”, perhaps even constructing a post modern Temple, a condition not now in place regarding walls which now wall in and out certain promises given in the Prophets of Old on the conditions there for the Return of the true Messiah.
The blockade of Gaza is currently so upheld by Israel and Egypt’s governments. The essential security issues are obvious, as they were and are of the US blockade of Cuba held for decades (stemming from when it had Soviet Union alliances, and exported Communist style revolution to Latin America, nearby Island nations, and South America. Gaza’s current party of government is on the US Terrorist organizations list, and exports its ideals of revolution into Israel, Judaea, Europe, and Samaria—or should I say assumes a reactionary assertion of Jihad. The Islamic religious books promise the Land to the descendants of Ishmael and Esau, the Bible to the descendants of Isaac and Jacob, thus the basis of an ongoing conflict). The Islamic cadre at the UN has finally overwhelmingly positioned itself to do what it just did, i.e. come up with instant world body condemnation statements—carried by the UN President—of any of Israel’s actions of self defense.
What is an arising consideration for believers now is how the antagonists of Israel are the economic resource survival traders of commodity futures, like oil, wheat, natural gas, etc.–spoken of in the Revelation of John as being in the balance of world contention and controversy, along with Satanic opposition to what is symbolically depicted as representing Israel in that Prophetic vision. Just when the US economy may begin to spark a bit, other world forces can check a possible recovery here and elsewhere. The present international codependencies—uncertain of where we leave off and they start as to shared life resources (or vice-versa)—present a world of nations soon to be “in turmoil” over Jerusalem.
The real problem is the Bilderberg group, the Club of Rome, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission. Globalists are currently working toward a one world govt and economic system. Herman VanRompuy, president of the EU, said 2009 was the first year of global governance, Gordon Brown was pushing for a global constitution for economics. Gorbachev and Maurice Strong have written an Earth Charter. Amercians vs. Muslims, Israeli’s vs. Palestinians, Sunni vs. Shia, gay marriage vs. no gay marriage is a distraction from the globalists agenda. Sunnis and Shia have been slaughtering each other for almost a millenia but Israel is an evil villain for killing 9 in self defense this week? Israel can’t manage to kill as many muslims as the sunni/shia conflicts have.

The provocation in Korea is leveredging Japan to keep american troops in Okinawa. The provocation upon Israel through Turkey will ensure that US troops remain in the middle east. As I see it, our attention has been hijacked by the media for the unfolding of this drama was revealed from the beginning. Israel is a sovereign nation and acted accordingly. That was an unfortunate, but not a heartbreaking situation. Defy any sovereign government and the results will always be the same.

Heartbreaking is what occurred on May 21 in Pakistan when a US drone attacked a convoy of vehicles in which many innocent lives were lost. Heartbreaking is what occurred on March 26 in which forty-six lives were lost in the sinking of the South Korea warship, and other such non-provocative destruction of civilians.

It appears that the powers of the air (Ephesians 2:2/The Beast/Revelation 13:1/the organization of satanic angels) were displeased with that compromise. I see a correlation between our President, Israel, the Arab nations and the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. I know no one here among the faithful “wringing our hands,” so, it is unclear who the “we” of your statement includes. FYI there are different interpretations of the notion of “one world dictatorship,” (as the antiChrist of the future) in light of scripture. One such future understanding does not play out as such a tyranny for the whole wide world, but for the region which affects Israel. And this particular blog is on an Israeli Naval blockade response that was difficult and dangerous to the IDF forces conducting that response, and the significance or lack thereof among the Nations.
Daniel’s Age of the Gentiles, the Age Jesus spoke about from the Mt. of Olives before his Passion, described as sometime ending: after notably difficult events: is marked by what Jesus stated on the Mt. of Olives, about Israel, restoration of the Davidic Kingdom and Jerusalem, as including some information Daniel recorded from messengers from God which Jesus’ Mt. of Olives audience had some studied comprehension of.
This outlook does show contention and upheaval, natural disasters, signs in the heavens, wars and rumors of them, and eventually nations gathered against Jerusalem. t shows Jerusalem trodden down by Gentiles until their Age is completed (according to Daniel). It does not state the extent of an AntiChrist to “world dictator”, before or after, as such. One has to stretch scriptures to conclude a “one world government, or dictator”, other than as to some descriptors of the world kingdoms Daniel’s early vision reveals.

If what you write has to do with the fulfillment of prophecy–and it is unclear that you offer any premise or theory of God as in control for the intentions of redemption thereby–it remains uncertain what your conclusion or hypothesis actually states. Something noted as also in play to the blockade events does not define that something as indeed overarching–where God has it under control.
As far as projections of the future, and actors on Daniel’s stage of action in Israel, even the position you hint at remains undefined or undescribed as to what it is you are trying to say. All events described by Jesus on the Mt. of Olives about Jerusalem are recorded in part in past history; what remains relevant to believers is how events lead to the divine plans of God in Christ, involving Romans 11, Acts 3:21, and the City of God coming down from heaven for God’s people after the declaration of Christ’s–not antiChrist’s prophetic rule and fulfillment of all righteousness through the stage of the Middle East. The future in Christ is not the future played by “the globalists,” but the future about the Redemptive Plans of the Messiah’s rule.

With all their brains and all their genius and all their american military firepower plus the billions they pour into defence couldn’t they think of a better way to disarm some madmen bearing poles and small arms without killing nine of them? This it the best they could do?!! This is to their shame!
I think that this shows another act of stubborness from those who wouldn’t peacefully agree to follow the orders that were given by the Israel nation. Thank God that no other person died in this incident which could have been prevented by cooperation from the Flotilla Activists. By the way, the Israel military looked sharp and very orderly. “They” set the price of oil, American foreign policy and intervention. The minutes of the 2008 Bilderberg meeting were leaked showing that they wanted to drive the price of oil up and then drive it down, the price of oil went up well over $100 a barrel and was driven down to $30 a barrel.
This was done to leveredge and weaken China, Russia and the Gulf States. When the price went up China took a hit, when it was driven down Russia and the Gulf states took a hit with Dubai being a prime example.
The model state for the globalists is China. David Rockefeller said as much when he praised chairman Mao’s experiment in “A China Traveler” op-ed he wrote for the NY Times in the 70’s, he even lamented Mao’s death. As far as scarcity goes, bees are disappearing in america. When the bees are gone our food supply will be gone. Some say its signals from cell phones, others say GMO food, some say both.
As a fellow flawed Christian, if we take prophecy out of the equation wouldnt these be things you would have an interest in knowing if it was all true? If we put prophecy back into the equation there has to be a pretext for the nations to turn on Israel. A global financial meltdown could cause desperate people to fall into the trap of blaming Israel for their financial problems due to the unfounded “every Jew is a banker” complex. If a greater conflict in the middle east hits home with an extensive loss of life, could these same people blame Israel? Its not hard to extrapolate, and an antichrist govt doesnt form overnight. As far as your comment about God having a hand in whats going on? He said that people would believe the lie because they hated the truth. J. Edgar Hoover coined the phrase “conspiracy theory” when he said that there was no such thing as organized crime in america. We all know how that turned out. America is full of conspiracies, thats why we have the RICO statutes.
If you disagree with me please do it on the merits of what i say. Global governance is not a conspiracy theory, its been announced publicly by heads of state. Blaine, Actually your analysis is most interesting, yet gives credence to ungodly counsel as being the biggest problem for those “wringing their hands.” Who is wringing their hands if trusting God? I especially appreciated the cycle of response identified as the problem solving method you cite of the diplomatic circles as you presented that cycle to be as to how they work on situations with other intentions over situations with their own goal setting purposes.
Does your analysis grant too much omniscience to your analysis holding as an overarching reality in play? No, for your analysis leaves off where Biblical Prophecy and its own redemptive intention starts. I will further address this, God willing, in the next couple of days when I can get to it.

Psalm 83, as with many of the Psalms, is included within many scholarly Hebrew Text references as partially composed of ancient data accepted currently and in the past as being prophetic record. The entire body of Hebrew and Aramaic ancient Prophetic literature is catagorized where so by the scribes, Priests, and scholars who have preserved it over the centuries for the benefit of related religious communities: for their edification, information, repentance, and ongoing instruction of holy regard.
The Psalm is important for its prediction of the joining of hearts of the enemies of Israel (“with one mind they plot together”), stemming from their ancient located “tents,” still identifiable of area names, not just being 21st Century nations, around Israel (e.g. Ammon, Edom, the Ishmalelites of Moab, Philistia, etc.). These peoples together believe in error that they can remove Israel from the earth in spite of YHVH’s chosing and favor. It is not just that there is a plot to destroy Israel recorded there, it is referenced in specific origins as to who conspires to do so, by ancient references of locale, peoples so planted, and by their history where a student of the text can discern that this is a major common mind Near and Middle Eastern plot which the Spirit of God knows about and will counter.
There is no past historical completion of these plans as to the Psalm’s action or the Psalmist’s statements of response covering so large an area of instigators. A countermeasure will involve calling it evil and proclaiming it so (as has Netanyahu over and over confronted Israel’s enemies with open rebuke when “hypocrisy” is in the mix of their intentions). It will involve too God’s response, and the extension of the possibility for repentance (vs. 16) where these conspirators know shame. Evil is not good, in spite of these peoples’ assumptions.
It is the wickedness of hearts intention to blot out what God has established which is detailed in origins in the Psalm. This helps any Biblical reader with historical maps to understand where the common mind has its sphere of belief against YHVH’s establishments. God will establish and protect with justice: prevailing over such cunning and shared evil murderous intention. In our time these locations and peoples have come to mutually embrace Islam, long prior, they held to their own Gods which gave them identifiable locales. God’s allied glory is solicited for his response in the statements of the Psalm for vindication. These enemies consult together, they conspire, they assume more power than of the people associated with the God who established Israel. We find too the informed Godly counsel position of response: let us cut them off because of their shared AGGRESSIVE motivation as a considered response to this cunning plot.
We know from the New Testament that mention of Tenach scripture fulfillment passages regarding the Visitation, Instruction, Life, Actions, Passion, and Resurrection of Jesus/Yeshua include verses inserted in the Gospels from several of the Psalms and other prophetic material. Read in their original texts, and contexts, what the New Testament writers do with establishing quoted verses meaning is unique where so being assertively emphatic (as to promoting their written interpretation of some of even then old Psalms passages certainly taken out of immediate context as are interlaced with other Messianic messages purposes as are reported in the Gospels). I would suggest that a Google search on “Psalm 83 as Prophecy” would clear up the references to the nations surrounding Israel which are mentioned in ancient context and locale therein. Etymologically most geographical and political entities of the ancient world have set primal references which are widely recognized for their placements in later times when primal maps, related placements, and populations somewhat change. Actually this area has had basically the same people groups for thousands of years. “Gog and Magog”, as such too, are not known post modern geographical references, yet they are identified in scripture and by ancient maps as the sources of peoples on the fringes of known settlement, North, who will also invade Israel in the future according to other past Prophecy than Psalm 83 (EZk. 38:2, Revl. 20:8). When figuring out who these peoples will be, we look to where these references came from, as with the names of places in Psalm 83. FYI there has been no past time where the placements of people referred to have completed what the Psalmist states will come to pass in thought and purposed intention, let alone the ending of the passage in judgment outcome. These are references o the place names of the nations surrounding Israel now in the sphere of Islam.

As to encountering the 6th ship’s planned violent resistence, the IDF had not prior encountered such a plan and had not boarded with such resistence in past experience, hence no such tactical contengency. It is remarkable that the marines were able to subdue the mob with shots from guns which were holstered behind them when both hands were engaged with rappel ropes from above. It ensures that Jesus will Return, has a global and local government Plan coupled with that Return, and includes Redemption as his primary overarching intention. Eric, forgive me if this seems offensive to you, but I do not think that the government of Israel should be held responsible for that video. There have been youtube videos that show hatred towards the Jewish people, even a video with a woman yelling “heil hitler” to a Jewish man. This hatred for the Jews is also clearly shown by Muslim youtube videos. Let us be fair in our judgments. God is just and may His mercy fill His land of Israel and deliver it from injustice. I hope that God comes quickly and deliver His people from this evil world. God hates sin, and His desire is to deliver the Muslim people from the lies that come through their belief system.

I think we need to stand back a bit and consider the following scriptures:
“On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places will be rebuilt. These verses must point to the future – after Jacob’s trouble – because modern, Israel in large part, either despises or is indifferent to the Holy One of Israel. And no living Jew (who the rabbis define as a Jew) believes in Yeshua, the Holy one of Israel (Chollile, God forbid!). And surely, Israel can only be cleansed from its iniquities after the remnant that survive Jacob’s trouble will know that “I – Yeshua – am the Lord.
“Do not fear, O Jacob my servant; do not be dismayed, O Israel. I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid” (Jeremiah 46:27).
It seems that the general opinion on this site is that the present State of Israel consists of Jews who have been saved out of a distant place. However, it is clear that the modern “Jacob” (Israel) has no peace and security. The Bible is clear that only after they have been saved from a distant place will they no longer be afraid. The State of Israel is not only very unsafe, it is the unsafest place on the planet..
After God has restored the remnant to Israel, “they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king whom I will raise up for them” (Jer. 30:9). . “And My servant David will be King over them, and they will all have one shepherd;” (Ezekiel 37 v.
24a). We all know that David the King is YHWH the Son of God.
Jacob’s trouble has hardly begun. There first has to be death (yes one more time) – and then the resurrection. Peace and restoration will come not only after the remnant have look on Him whom they have pierced and mourned and grieved bitterly for Him as a firstborn son, but after what come next; after they have died, and their lives are henceforth hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3).
God is sovereign and nothing happens unless he wills it. So, God must have willed 1948 as he also willed the building of Solomon’s temple and its destruction (by the Babylonians), and the return to the land and the rebuilding of the temple and its second destruction (by the Romans). What has God got planned for modern Israel? Most of the contributors on this site think it will all turn out ok for modern Israel. But I can’t see it from scripture.

When did this doctrine concerning Psalm 83 come about? I ask that because you are living in a day and age where you have been given much. Back in the day, gleaming truthful doctrine from the Bible was very tedious work. But with the advent of the personal computer with all of its many applications, one can quickly pull out from the Bible all the scriptures related to one particular topic; therefore much is expected of You! There are many erroneous doctrines that are preached from the podium and are accept because we Christian trusted that the Theologians did the necessary research to derive at the proper conclusion, but now we can easily do that for ourselves.
The first predicament that I see in this doctrine is that a tent-dwelling nation, along with the fact that their tents would not leave any archeological evidence, would not have the spirit to go against a nation that dwelt in walled city and grand homes.
Deuteronomy 19:1 When the LORD thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the LORD thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;
And it is because of this protection God had placed upon Israel that the nations of Psalm 83 do not exist.

Moreover, God overturned the national identity, culture and family connections of the land three times.

It will be this way until the Lord returns again, so your doctrine concerning Psalm 83 is very presumptuous and arrogant. I know that there will be an international investigation of this incident lead by the Israel govt., but I would like to add that this whole mess could have been prevented if the Flotilla Activists were respectful of Israel. Israel did not want to harm them, but the Flotilla Activists forced this upon themselves. I am pretty sure that America would have done the same thing. Or what would America do? Anyway, the Israel govt. proved to the world that they were not acting violently because they immediately released the prisoners (Flotilla Activists).
Pamela, I am of the persuasion that you are out on an interpretive limb, so to speak. Bible commentaries since the 1800s have flagged the Psalm,in its allusion to Israel “as a nation”, as had Rabbinical commentaries far earlier: as to its prophetic nature of enemies identifications. It contains an assertive identification of God with his people for their solicitation for a future intervention by that God: as needed to counteract a widening plot to cut off Israel as a nation. This then is very signicant since 1948. This one cannot be spiritualized for meaning. Would you like it to mean something different?
Again, go to area history maps, compare their place-names use to those located dwelling places mentioned in the Psalm, and, additionally, for an example, go to past cited prophecy extensions from Gog and Magog found as scholarly present day allusions for determining their present locations in political geographical terms as to their prophetic locations of named significance (given you as an example of precedent for such derivative meaning for future fulfillment for such location mapping for the Psalm 83 place-name references).
“Tents”, from v 6, is but one rendering of Hebrew “^Ohel”, meaning dwellings of settlement, as can also be used as to a habitation of a family and/or its extended houshold. The entire Arabian area from below the great rivers to Egypt is saturated with such originally nomadic references and such founded tenting locales for its earily and present populations (see Gen. 13:5; 18:6; 25:27). Its use also includes the palace of David, in Is. 16:5, in Jerusalem, long after the Israelites stopped using tents for dwelling places.

The regathering of the nation of Israel is the most significant prophetic reality in our world today. Who restrains Satan’s desires in this regard (in the heavenlies)? People are just flabbergasted over the scope of this catastrophe. Then we had hurricanes hit the Midwest yesterday which torn apart not only structures, but people’s lives as well. Ever since that earthquake happened in Haiti, all kind of disasters have happen right here in the US. Have you forgotten about the long and intense winter that just passed and the other devastations that have been happening back to back to back? And it goes on.
I am sure you’re wondering what does that has to do with our discussing. It’s about prophesy, something that you seem to be very interested in. Let me tell you, I had received a prophecy about my life. (It is very personal, so please pardon me for not disclosing it.) But this personal prophecy from God was hard to ingest at the time that I received it. It was an FYI prophecy on my life. I didn’t like what it said, and I shut it out of my mind and forgot about it until those very things started to happen. The main point that I want to make is, even though I understood the basic main points of that prophecy for me, I didn’t know or couldn’t tell you exactly how it would come about.
What God has given us is 20/20 hindsight. In other words, even though there are stated prophecies in the Bible, we won’t be able to predict the details until while or after it has happened. Remember reading about Joseph’s dream that prophesied that all of his brothers and father would bow down to him? Do you think he knew exactly how that would happen since he and his family were just sheepherders in the middle of nowhere?
You all are taking this supposed Psalm 83 prophecy and deriving much detailed information from it, but let’s come back to present day reality. Read this actual prophecy of the bible for the last days…

Pamela, I’d suggest going to the prophecy section of any good Bible dictionary to find an accurate depiction of what prophecies are still extant in these last days. Of course no one can say something is fulfilled in any absolute sense until it is. Even so, the Lord told us to watch and pray, to be discerning, to follow the revelation of the Spirit (per John 13:36 to early 16), and to follow the word, as written. Peter told the Jewish nation the conditions of the heavens holding back Yeshua until the fulfillments of all not completed in “the Prophets of Old,” in Acts 3:21. Paul taught on many aspects of the Return, which do not happen until what Peter stated does. The Mt. of Olives discourse is indeed helpful in this regard, as is the later section of the Revelation given to John.
As written, you seem to want Psalm 83 not to apply, even though the vast majority of Bible scholars state that it is a future event. We have to get through it and other events for the Return to occur.
As for the last four years, August 2006 was significant as that is when Iran’s missle program achieved its goals, as supplied by China, North Korea, and Russia. Aliances too with other Near Eastern and Middle Eastern nations were formed for their current policy which embraces no future for a Jewish state of self governance.
They would accept a total surrender and a Jewish State under Islam, if you believe what Iran’s Political leader has stated at the UN. But then he also stated that Allah was the supreme highest authority, not the God of the Bible in that context. Do with it what you will, as for me and my household, we will hear YHVH.
